She’s a little dirty cause it’s a rainy day in Toronto. Took the winter wheels off to get a preview of her new look in the Spring. Winter wheels will have to go back on in a week. :(

Added some LED 3157 bulbs to my Form headlights. These are a little bit brighter than the filament bulbs that came with the lights and a little closer to the 7440 replacements I had in my OEM LED housings.

No, this is factory Toyota remote start. I have a 2021 that came with push button start. You had to buy a subscription through Toyota for it to work. The app Toyota has is absolutely terrible and takes for ever to start. It is the same setup as what our 2018 Camry had on it.

As a matter of fact I just tried the Toyota app (doesn't run out until January) and it still works. So nothing was removed.

Mine is a 2016 and has no subscription or app involved with the operation of the remote entry.

Picked up the TRD Pro Fox shocks and TRD intake during Cyber Weekend. Shout out to Sparks Parts and Lewis Toyota of Topeka for getting me all the parts at a deal. Shout out to the parts dept at Post Oak Toyota for getting me the new hardware for the shocks (front-upper nuts, lower bolts/nuts; rear-upper nuts/bushing#1/bushing#3/washer, lower bolts/nuts). Thanks for the price match/military discount and sourcing it all quick. Great deal on oil filters there too. Bought a case of them there last time...came out to about $5 per filter.
Installed it all, did the oil change, brakes, and adjusted the headlights during the few nice days we had. Just took it to Jim Norton Toyota of OKC to have the alignment and zero point calibration done yesterday. Shout out to them for taking care of me with a friendly and stress free experience with military discount. Stopped by Charlie's Car Wash to give her a bath afterwards.
Rockin a Platinum Pro now LOL! Well, almost...still need the TRD exhaust. Our:poking: OK roads are a whole new world now LOL. Oh, and the new sounds are fun as she glides, whistles, and roars over those potholes
Oh, don't knock the swaybars. I know they're not for everyone and I don't overland. I had installed them a couple years ago and didn't have it in me to remove them. I came from a Ram Sport and couldn't stand the ridiculous body roll. They helped a lot, but holy smokes...she really hugs the curves like glue now...especially when there's a big :deadhorse: dip in the curve of the ramp. :bikewhoops: Instead of braking through the curve, I just floor it...no jolt, no bounce, no over/understeer, no screech. Just smiles per gallon :D

Ok. My 2021 is different. Not sure when that changed. However it is not a dealer add on.

Just installed Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro amber fogs. They were “under the tree” for me and I’ve been busy taking advantage of the 4’ of snow we got for Christmas also. The garage door shots in an overcast mid-morning light are very promising. Im excited to get these going at night and in some “weather”

zip tied them to the bumper plastic piece that they attach to to cut down some of the play/shake in the fit. That would be my only complaint / concern with these. Not sure why there’s so much wiggle room. If I notice them moving on my I’ll just line some hi-temp silicone around them to get them to hold better.

For reference. Again it was factory. Not sure why it matters. Nothing was removed from truck. DroneMobile’s app is much quicker/responsive than Toyota’s, which apparently is through OnStar.

We’ve added DroneMobile to all 3 of our vehicles, so it makes it easy to use your phone to start any vehicle. Just a quick toggle.

If it doesn't matter then why do you keep arguing the issue? You linked to 2021 data but mine is a 2016 without all that junk.

I got my answer though so again, thanks.

I was talking about my truck and you insisted on telling me the dealer installed it. Linked data sheet to show factory installed. Didn’t mention anything about yours other than saying the 2021 are different due to the connected services option.

Thanks for letting me know that Toyota is now installing a worthless remote start at the factory now.

When I bought my 2021, the remote start was also a subscription service. I will pass on any pay for use service. This is something I can't buy into.

DroneMobile requires a subscription but it’s cheaper than Toyota plus the doesn’t take forever for truck to start. I can cancel subscription and use the fob but prefer the mobile app.

I have put 1700 miles on my truck in the last 9 days driving around visiting family. Here’s my last 40 mile trip coming home from hunting. I don’t use anything to correct my speedometer, so I have to add 8.4% to compensate for my 285/75s. This corrects to 18.5mpg. Not bad highway fuel economy for a lifted, modded 2nd gen if you ask me. This is in Tennessee with lots of hills and grades. No secrets. Just don’t use cruise, and keep it under the speed limit.

I had the same issue with mine. I tried the zip tie method and they still shook. Had that inner fender piece off so many times screwing with the fog lights, I broke that clip on the inner fender piece and had to order a new one. Ended up taking the fog light housing out of the bumper and putting four strips of 3m vhb double sided tape around the housing then reinstalling it. It is rock solid now. Real shitty design by Toyota on the fog light mounting.

    That Looks awesome!!
I have a bunch of questions for you.
How is the ride compared to your platinum suspension? I have a limited and also bought the FOX PRO suspension (with extras) and PRO wheels/tires - Everything in Like new condition with about 6000 miles, for $1700. I have the wheels on the truck but have not installed the suspension yet.
Did you install everything yourself? Any issues?
Did you have issues with the sensor that required the zero point calibration?
Did you really have to adjust the headlights or could you just dial them down with the dial on the dash?
Did you extended the rear brake bracket on the rear and axle for the added travel from the rear shocks?
Some say you gain a small amount when adding the FOX shocks to the rear, did you?

Not poking at your bubble, but my experience dialing in the Hypertech speedo calibrator is that the “on paper numbers” for adjustment are high. I am betting it’s a combination of the factory system being calibrated for a tire size that’s slightly bigger than what they ship with and the actual size of tires under load being slightly smaller than what the stated nominal size works out to (your tire isn’t perfectly round with the weight of the truck on it, so effective diameter is 2x the actual distance from your hub center to the ground)

for instance, my paper numbers say I should have a correction of 6.9% but my actual correction was 4.7% to get the speedo and cruise to both match radar and GPS.

Yeah I’m thinking there’s gonna be more work to keep them stable. I don’t understand Toyota’s design to have 4 screw spots, yet only one screw to seat/stabilize the fog lights. Regardless, I hate that fender panel - I went through the front. So l’ll either be employing the 3m tape or silicone bead method. We’ve got roads that couldn’t pass for Fallujah.

Wow, that’s a little over 30% off. I’m not expecting it to be an exact science, but my GPS speedo app on the highway matches my 8.4% math with the dash very closely. It seems to be pretty much dead on; it just has to round to the nearest whole mph.
