The navy does a horrible job running this base.

Yes they do....they should hand it over to us. They only reason they pass their security inspections is because of us telling them what to do. They hate our guys working with them in weekends because we show them up.

There are more airforce aircraft and personnel than any other branch on this base.

Yup. The base never should have been closed in the first place....but that goes into politics

I used to be a Coastie. We were actually considered federal law enforcement officials.

Now I build F16s and modernize the F22.

Small world. What systems do you work on the F16?

I'm sensors and weapons on F16, so you can blame me for the stuff that doesn't work:confused:

I don't build the airframe brother, just the weapon systems.

The only legal place that I'm aware of is Northwest OHV in Bridgeport. I haven't been there myself, seen some videos though, looks like a fun place to go.

Wow....just checked it out! Looks like fun and FREE camping....I'm down with that! And $55 for a 3 day pass isn't bad either!

Yeah I've been wanting to go, but I work midnights both Friday and Saturday so I haven't got around to going. Plus my truck is stock so I'm waiting to upgrade it a bit before I go out there and give it a shot

I've been and it's awesome. I took my Tacoma there and it was pretty amazing. You need to go as a group though. Also, a winch is very handy so having a friend with one can make it a much pleasant experience.

Also, you'll need a state permit. You can get those at 4 wheel parts I think.

There also a mountain bike trail being built too. 10 miles I believe.

I plan on going when that's done and make a camping trip out of it.
