Awesome. Looks great and considering getting one. How is the wind noise? Any change that is noticeable?

I would guess if something happens to it and then to the truck , they only warranty the roof rack. whats the difference in this application between dynamic and static, just when your driving?

Correct but I've also seen people say that dynamic is under normal conditions not off-roading so if you are pushing the limit ymmv.

Correct. I've got the Prinsu, which is nearly identical to the Grizzly. In fact, Prinsu, Grizzly/Sherpa, Victory, etc...they all seem to have pretty much the same design. I feel like someone didn't patent something because I can't tell much difference between most of them. hahaha.

I will say, if you've got 500 or 600 lbs up on the rack and then you're banging around the trails...I'd be a little reluctant. If you're just talking highway driving, then sure, 600 lbs all day long.

That being said, I've done all sorts of mods on vehicles. Cut body panels for bumpers. Drilled holes in fenders for snorkels. Welded sliders to frames. This is one mod I don't think I would ever do again. I love the rack and how it looks...but DAMN was drilling into the cab an act of congress. I would never attempt it again with a hand drill (and I have a pretty damn good Ridgid Octane drill). I would either find a buddy with a mag drill or just pay a shop to do it. lol.

Yeah drilling roofs can cause all kinds of problems with rust, water leakage and possibly hitting airbags. It’s no wonder shops don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t understand why Toyota doesn’t offer pre-threaded holes for roof rack mounts on the tundra like they do on other models.

I looked at them when I was researching racks. It seems their 3rd Gen racks require drilling, like every other rack manufacturer. They only seem to offer a no drill option for certain vehicles, including the 2nd Gen Tundras.

They only make racks for the CrewMax too, which was a non-starter for me since I have a DC.

absolutely agree!...key is not going too deep because of the air bags...using a depth gauge or drill stop like I show in the video eliminates that risk so it's not bad at all
