I got a lead on a used 10-12" Bulletproof suspension kit complete with fox coils w/resis and Atlas leaves.

I'm waiting on the guy to let me know how many miles are on it but with a lifetime transferable warranty, I feel like takin it off his hands then sending in the shocks for a rebuild and re-powdercoating everything.

    Thoughts?

Yeah except the typical retort of someone who doesn't pay for my truck or its parts.

If you feel like the price is right and like the look of a very tall truck, then I say go for it
Don't forget the 40s or 42s for that lift though lol

What is the price on the kit?

If you can get it for a good deal and that’s something you’ve been wanting to do to your truck, I say go for it man!

Always fun making your truck your own.

I'm sensing that you don't trust us here :D

Most folks share links to said contemplations so we can see exactly what they are looking at... This level of trust helps foster a strong sense of community and desire for us all to provide sound advice to those that seek knowledge/input from the group.

But, what I'm seeing here is a fear that if you share too much, someone from the group would have access to said offer, and you don't trust that another member wouldn't 'do you dirty' and procure said opportunity themselves....

    So sad :(....

I bought my Tundra with that lift already on it.

I’ve upgraded to the Coachbuilder tie end rods and 3” rear shackles to help level the truck out.

The lift calls for 37” - 38” but I’ve seen 40’s done with the right wheel setup and trimming.

Previous owner used my truck at the beach a lot, so it could use powder coating redo, and I’ve sanded and repainted the shocks just to clean them up some. It’s no show truck, but I think it looks great! Don’t let anyone else tell you what you should and shouldn’t do with your truck and money. If you like it, go for it.

Not really. Considering the majority sentiment of disgust towards this sort of lift, there's little concern for that. To answer your post directly, I absolutely trust the core members of this forum (people who post and contribute daily) but there are plenty who I don't know and lurk. There's trust and there's naïveté.

I also didn't think it was relevant to my inquiry.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'd be able to slap 40s on considering I'm at 7.5" and easily fit 37s.

The specs on your rig are mouth watering. Got pics posted somewhere?

Parking garages a thing for you? I keep thinking I want a roof rack but it’d keep me out of my garage and a lot of other parking structures and that’s a deal breaker atm.

Since 2" is enough for 37s (with trimming), I think a 12" lift should be enough for 50s... seriously.

These are wee 43s but you can get this tire in 58". Do it!

Negative. We are in suburbia/rural country so while there is a parking garage for city hall/downtown, I never need to park in one. On the rare occasion, I take the 2WD Sequoia that still fits everywhere else.

I figured asking the price was relevant. You had asked what our thoughts were on grabbing the kit and I just wanted to give an educated opinion with all the available information.

Just clarifying why I asked in the first place. I hope you get it for a steal and enjoy it!

The issue with anything bigger than 38’s are the bumper/fenders and body mount. lots of trimming and a BMC.

Maybe with the right offset wheel you can get away with 40’s but I’m not sure.

I had an impossible time finding new tires last year. Ended up getting MAXXIS M/T’s through simpletire.

I have a few photos posted In random threads, but here are a few.

    Lookin good!

I tossed the OEM bumper a while back so no issue there. The BMC is pretty good too. I think I can make it happen.

If you find out more about what’s needed to fit 40’s let me know. Want to move up from my 38’s next time.
