Anyone else so ready for winter to be done?!!! We have had a warmer than normal winter, which has been nice, except for now that it is almost March mother nature has decided it's time for some real snow and cold!!

I just want to rake the yard, work in the garden, wear flip flops, ride my bicycle, play in the mud with my new toy, drive with the sunroof open, go to the beach etc... yes I am whining. I am just so over winter, NC here I come, well in a few years! Currently under 14 blankets unable to crawl out

Anyone else move south from the northeast to escape winter?

Here's my toy, I shopped in January to beat the crowds because toys are hard to find now with supply shortages, and well I want to go riding on the trails!

I moved south from the North to escape it...but under duress. (Dad moved us to IA, then to GA 2 years later when I was 14 and 16, respectively). LOL

We had a whole week of snow/ice/cold the ONE week I was gone on Xmas vacation, so I kinda want some snow.

I'll ship you some! You can have it all... my driveway is a sheet of ice, I'll send you that too!

Let's split the difference. Ship me the snow and you can keep the driveway ice. ;)

I agree. I’m in California. I live here for one reason. This is not it.

I'm in DFW, this year has been weird. We had ice storms earlier this month which caused havoc. My yard had about a 1" thick sheet of ice on it for 4 days. But we have also hit 90 this month. Well, Tuesday was 90 and today the high is 41....

I think its just a weird year no matter where you live. We also averaged 103 for 3 months straight this past summer. Not much you can due in that weather either.

It’s somewhat rare here. I’m at 2500ft in the high desert. Central California. We have a huge storm coming.

I'm ready for Spring, that's for sure!

I got snow here the other day too, and I'm in SoCal 45 minutes from the beach. SoCal actually has about five mountain ranges that get snow every year, some have ski resorts.

I can take the snow and cold but the gray overcast sky's and days on end of rain, I just can't take it anymore. Should have moved years ago....

I feel trapped here at the moment but once I get the opportunity to move south and west, I’m taking it. Happy there is no snow this year but the wild swings in temperatures is crazy.

We're getting cheated with a warm winter. Ive only had the A/C off for a few days this season. Been 90+ almost a week now

The only upside to summer is all the tourists go away, but its 93 and they're all still here. :(

So many people have moved here since Covid. Fl has the highest population growth in the country right now. That's all we need is more a$$holes on the roads.

I know. I spend over 3 hours a day driving to and from the jobsite.

If i was fuhrer i'd make driving your kids to school illegal. I can make it to work in half the time on school holidays. And it would be illegal for tourists and old people to drive around from 3:30-6pm. :D

I actually hate summer. I’m the complete opposite of most people. I become a shut in in summer, unless I’m at work. Maybe because I’m outside all day, by the time I get home I just want AC. I’m happy to see snow on the way, last week with temps in the 60s had people showing up to the park expecting full services.

I hate winter. Northern Ohio has had a very mild winter so far. I love the global warming, climate change, pole shift or whatever else it’s called Lol. It’s been getting warmer the last 20 years or so. No more large snow piles lasting all season. Once a large snow storm hits it seems to warm up and melt away quickly.

Not PNW rather just outside of Dreary Erie (Pa) the Mistake on the lake. Only 164 sunny days per year is the average, and it will be June or into July before the Lake is warm enough to swim in. However I won't swim in that hot bed of Algae Blooms and Girardia and Crypotosporidium and others...

I love the winter and snow. We’ve had close to 15 feet of recorded snowfall this season (since week before thanksgiving) but it keeps warming, raining, melting like a week after each dump. Which sucks.

Once I retire, assuming I can still ski/snowboard I will be leaving the area not in the winter, but the crummy mud season(spring) which is like April 1 - Memorial Day. There’s no boating (not good boating anyway) and no golf at that time. Fly fishing can happen in the fall

Im ready for a REAL winter. Im in Northeast Ohio and this winter has been pretty miserable. One of the worst that I can remember in my 46 years. The temp swings have been horrible. Literally 70 degrees two days ago for one day. Woke up the next day to 28 degrees! The gloomy overcast rainy days are terrible. I would much rather have 25-30 degrees all winter with snow. I tell my wife I want to move more north where they still have winter.

Seems like the last 5 years esp. we have not had a traditional winter. Even when we got 4 foot of snow over Christmas day and the day after in 2017 within a week it was gone. We have been looking strangely enough at St Cloud Minnesota, as we too don't mind the snow just all the rain and gloom. I'd just like to move someplace the duck and goose hunting is better, because it really stinks around here anymore. Now that I'm retired I have all the time in the world to pursue my hobby but now there are way fewer birds than there have ever been.

YES, my brother and SIL were here visiting for the week and they live in NE Ohio, they were showing us their camera with the sunny Skys and temps of 60 something, like WTF we should have visited them!

I guess you could move to Canada? Seems like they still have some nasty winters, or northern NY.

Yup, I remember being a kid and having consistent snow cover all winter long, now not so much. Not sure if we are to blame, that's like saying the dinosaurs were to blame for the ice age, I don't think the dinosaurs were driving their gas hog cars around going to the grocery store or the mall, and yet it still happened. My theory is that earth's environment is cyclic, and there is nothing we can do to prevent that cycle.
