Hello all! I'm trying to install my train horns so that I can use them through my steering wheel inside the cab like a regular horn using the steering wheel horn. However I'm having problems doing that, I don't know where to connect the wires so that is possible. Does anybody with any info? Please Help! thanks! This is on my 2008 Toyota Tundra!

Don’t be that guy, please. Horns should get other drivers’ attention, not spike their adrenaline because you scared the shit out of them.

If you are gonna be that guy, do a relay and pull trigger power from your stock horns.

    Screenshot_20230228_091906_Brave.jpg

Device is train horn positive, trigger source is stock horn.

easiest way is for you to get your truck running down a road, away from others, around 70-75mph. find a tree, bollard, column, or drunk driver.... and hit the item of your choice head on at speed mentioned. this will deploy the air bag within the steering wheel. once opened and accessed, you may be able to see all the wires behind the horn's button.

below the steering wheel around the footwell is a very small and dim light. this is your "bright idea" light. it IS dim, but hopefully you'll be able to see it by then.

Spend some time driving in FL and you will think differently about train horns. You just have to use them responsibly.

if you swap out a factory horn for train horns, that eliminates the possibility of using them responsibly.

I think it's a bad idea to engage your Hornblasters through the steering wheel especially if you're in an inspection state. Run a separate bump switch for the blasters.

Lol. There is a difference between responsible use and being a tyrant with them. They are not illegal other than decibels, but they can be used in emergency situations.

HB has a wiring diagram that ties a separate toggle switch to turn them off using the OEM horn button.

Well the noise output exceeds limits, but the horns themselves are not illegal.

People who put train horns on trucks are the same people who put spinners and a Carolina Squat on 20 year old Chevy pickups.
