DIR harness and DD license plate bulbs installed, and put in a semi permanent "reaching rod" because I hate climbing in to reach stuff that slid to the front of the bed.

Best statement I've read from someone who wanted to but couldn't. 100% true. I joined but I was jaded after they screwed with my contract. I also aced my entrance exams, was top 10 in my class, had an acceptance to my dream school and the Corps program there...Navy recruiter had me take the Nuke exam and I passed it so.... they had other plans. I was bitter for years, and truth be told, I still am, but I'd probably not have met my wife, had my boy, become a step-dad to these brats of hers.... I hate thinking we are predetermined to live some script a Supreme being wrote, but sometimes it sure looks like things happen the way they do for a reason.

Can’t say the audio is finished, so I’ll just give an update. SDHQ installed the high output alternator, and upgraded all the wiring. Odyssey battery didn’t arrive on time so it might be swapped for a group 31 in the future.
Stereo was installed by a local guy, but also had Kartunes in Phoenix work their magic on the system. Fixed an issue with Maestro, and ran new RCA cables.
DSP might be the next upgrade, or a new 4 channel amp that has some crossover setting, so I can remove the current crossovers. Sub and box feel like an extra 200 pounds but love the setup.

Well said. I had an almost cookie cutter experience senior year of highschool, but they never got to my flat feet. They rejected me due to ongoing recovery from a car accident junior year of highschool. I desperately needed the discipline, but getting kicked out of my parents house almost immediately after graduating high school did the trick. It was a sobering experience, and made me grow up basically over night. I was too proud to go home, so I figured it out. Surviving on a jar of peanut butter and not much else from week to week really drove it home.

First hand wash all winter. I have been pressure washing the salt away weekly and have a 90* for the undercarriage. That rust proofing is like glue when it gets on the paint.

It really wasn't bad cost wise, all things considered. All treated #2 pine, since I don't want to patch work cedar in until I'm ready to re-do the whole fence proper in 4-5 more years. Still, it was WAY better/cheaper than the almost $750 per 10' I was quoted. Might be worth noting I'm long time friends with our local lumber yard and get the 'family' discount, so I saved about 30% on the materials. My Ouch was more in reference to loading, unloading, deconstructing and rebuilding the fence overall. But, I'd rather put $1100 elsewhere, truth be told! If not for our wonderful muts, I'd of let the fence go a little longer.

I really like that idea. Can you post details so I can copy? Right now use whatever is available but usually don't have something with a hook like that. Talking about the reaching rod.

Changed out rear diff fluid. Going to do front diff when I change my oil in the next week or so. Hoping that 10mm hex drain plug doesn’t give me fits.

I grabbed a 1/4" steel rod (about 4') from the hardware store, a pack of 3/4" neodymium magnets, and some JB weld. I heated and bent the rod into a grabber. Put a blob of JB weld on each magnet, then placed it where I wanted it. The magnets hold it pretty tight.

I had a shorter wire version that i didn't "mount" and well...it went missing.

Ah okay, not bad. Nice discount. My contractor’s discount doesn’t touch that. Always hurts putting your money where it needs to go over where you want it to go.

I thought about a divider but I fill the bed of my truck regularly. A divider like that wouldn't work for my needs.

Yesterday, installed my power tailgate lock kit. Took just a bit under an hour including getting out the tools and putting them away.

Thanks much to the folks here who posted part number information, as well as photos of their install process. It made my install go waaaaaayyyyy smoother.

    Cheers!
