Thread title says it all. Does anyone know if there is a company that makes a lid top for the rear under seat storage box on the crewmax models?

I'm looking for this as well. I haven't come across anything, but if I do, it's going in the cart immediately.

wouldn't the lid just be the seats themselves?

Sure, if I wanted to put things on top of my leather seats, but I don't. So it would be nice to lift the seats and have a flat surface I could slide boxes on top of, or anything else I might need more clearance for than I have trying to put things on the seat. It would also help tremendously when I have my dogs in the back.

Contact the guys at ESP. They make storage bins in various configurations for the 2.5 gen.
If there is a market for lids for the 3rd gen, they would be the best option. It might take a while for them for R&D but that would be my go-to.

Amen. Would love a flat surface back there that I could use with the seats folded up.

@havasubud any plans if there's enough demand from the 3rd Gen group?

Someone here posted an aluminum mock-up of one he was making, promising it would be rattle free and be in production fairly soon. Was a few months back, looked good.

We are in the process of making it. We have had a couple of issues with fitment and are working on our third prototype. Hoping to have the next prototype done in the next few weeks. Good news is that I fly out to Texas next Monday to pick up our 22 Limited CrewMax 4x4 with TRD OR. Now I will have a truck to play with all the time.

Let me know if you need any beta-testers with the prototype. I’d be happy to give you any help/feedback with the build.

Has anyone found an under seat storage lid for 2023 crewmax?

yeah but thats all metal and about $800+ for that. unless you really need lockable storage i can live w/o a lid for $800 :)

but hey im very forgiving and we did just fine on our 2016 tacoma under seat storage without lids.

and yes ESP made a replacement for the 2016 tacoma also for about the same price.

I don't need locking or aluminum, how about a less expensive plastic cover?

One thing I miss about my Ram. Had covers that unfolded with supports to create a totally flat load floor.

Wow! I just want a lid or cover, not a completely new storage box.
Maybe someone will come out with one soon. Toyota should’ve provided one with the cost of my truck. Lol

What's the benefit of a lid for the storage area vs just folding the seat backs down (is it height vs width)?

When you fold your seats up, do they stay up on their own (in the one or two times I accessed that area, I recall having to hold the seats up)?

They do lock up, you may have to push harder. The loop on the side of the bottom cushion is to release from the up position.

Its ridiculous that there is no cover. I don't want to pack stuff on my leather seats or have a dog kennel sitting on the leather seats etc. My buddies 2018 has a plastic cover over the storage and it came with the truck. Weird that they would quit doing that.

We looked into that. It really isn't possible just to make a lid. The problem is the seat belt recepticals and the LATCH anchors for the car seats prevent it.
