After this battery gets installed, it might be time to beef up the suspension. RCI full skid plates, AGM Group 31, 150+ pound subwoofer box. I’m sure the driver lean will be in full effect.

Check the build link in my signature.
Still in process, but it starts with this kit:
    https://a.co/d/c8wFVTj

The Qi charger in this kit is a separate “universal” charger that uses Scosche’s “magic mount” magnets (before MagSafe existed), and it’s only got a 10W rating (vs MagSafe 15W if using the official Apple charger).

So instead of the power adapter that comes with it, I’m using one of these as the power supply
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0918CR35N

And adapting the USB-C to USB-A using this
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079LYHNSR

finally, the insert to adapt the MagSafe charger into the spot that the Qi charger normally fits into I’m 3D printing using CPE+ material

@be_unscared your truck looks great. Can you give details on suspension and tire size? Thanks and have a good one.

Your idea was perfect and I'm grateful you shared it to me! I WILL move the gauge to the center stack, to the right of the steering wheel as it will likely not show so much glare and keep my eyes closer to the road ahead...regardless, muuuuch easier than I was thinking it would be!

of course. I went with the Icon Stage 2 with AAL. Went up 2.5 in the front and up 2 in the back. I asked the shop to just get the rear up to level, but they didn’t listen (they did this for free so I can’t complain). After seeing it with a little rake, still, I like it and will keep that setup for now.

wheels are method 17x8.5 MR701 in the MT Bronze

Tires are the Falken Wildpeak AT3 in 35/12.5/r17

super simple. All told, these were about $3,800 shipped and with the free install, I really managed to save some money.

had to remove the front mudflaps and do a little chopping of the front plastic, but they’re on and look great. This color combo has been a dream of mine since Toyota first game out with the army green and here I am, years later. Love it

Love it. The blacked out chrome, bronze wheels... 35s look bigger on a smaller wheel. I'm after a similar setup for mine.

They fired it up every day to drive it out of the shop and onto the lot; returned it every night. They were being very careful NOTHING else happened to it while in their care... No signs of rodents - the first thing I checked!

Yes they do, plus no concern with needed to regear like you could have with 37s at some point.

Interesting. It’s a 2020 and you say they neglected it. What does that mean and how can you tell on such a new truck?

I see a fairly decent dent up there, so I'm going to wager there were paint scratches all around. LineX would be certainly cheaper than bondo and a paintjob, some people prefer the blackened roof/hood aesthetic, and I see roof rack mounts so it's likely to be more durable too, I bet!

Makes sense. I was concerned you were already seeing the clear coat fading. I think it’s a good look, man.

No fading of clear coat, appears as if it was never washed or waxed. Lots of tiny rust spots were appearing. The previous owner certainly used the rack a lot.

BEFORE: Started with a nice looking truck, but it was not what I wanted.

Ended up with the way I like it. While mostly blacked out, still pending is the chrome delete of the running boards. Will plastidip those soon. 5100 Bilsteins x4, front top setting. 1" ReadyLift blocks in rear. Method Roost 18s with 25 offset. 295/70R18 Falken WildPeaks.

Needed to modify the wheel well lining. Removed the section affected, cut off the lower ribs and tucked the lining back in above the bumper bottom. Had to drill some holes in the lining so I could reinstall the screws under the bumper up through the lining. Easy peasy.
    BumperModTireFit.jpg

Built and installed bed drawers and platform for queen mattress when I get out camping. Drawers are full length to front of bed. Added the pull out tables for extra counter space. Really like how it turned out.

Group 31 just barely fits. SDHQ terminals didn’t reach the new battery. The factory power wire terminal is smaller than the lugs on the new terminal so had to drill a larger diameter and just barely squeezed it on.

PB Blaster Surface Shield sprayed underneath today. Yesterday changed the oil. I’m leaving the shop for another AutoCAD drafting job soon so got all my maintenance up to date. Installed all new rotors and pads a few weeks ago. It’s nice having the perks of a free lift and heated shop but the pay, long hours, weekends and corporate bs isn’t worth it anymore.

I put an AMP bed extender. When it's flipped into the box it holds the stuff near the tailgate. Easy to remove if full box is needed without the extenstion.
