Long time lurker, never posted. Many upgrades to my truck eventually I’ll get to posting progress pictures and finish her once I find out answers to questions later down the road. Currently my issue is I pulled a pioneer head unit out of my truck and installed the Dasaita vivid11 px6 with supplied wires and canbus…everything works to an extent. Had to swap key the steering wheel controls to work properly. But the new issue upon install is the sound only is playing out of the dash speakers. Nothing out of the doors. Also how does one wire rca cables without a line out converter for this system? First I would like the sound out of doors and then power the sub properly which worked with the pioneer no issues. Any help ideas or possibilities would be vastly appreciated. For whatever reason it’s pulling the wrong ones when I ordered it had 4 options not two. I properly chose the year.

Did your truck originally have a JBL headunit? I tried a few Chinese headunits, and none of them play well with toyota jbl wiring even with the canbus decoder (ie. issues with door speaker functionality). If so, I think james@tech12volts (site vendor) has solutions. Either way I seem to remember him being helpful and a good source of information, but I might be full of shit, I haven't been on here in awhile :D

Even on a non-JBL system, there's a fake "amp" under the passenger side seat that needs bypassing. Color-coded easy one on Amazon for under $20.

Can you please link that to me? I’m aware there’s an amplifier under there the previous head unit worked fine just overheated in my dash constantly so I went single din. Didn’t think there would be an issue but thanks. If you can send the link to item I’ll try it out

I reached out. I’m trying to avoid replacing all my speakers and amp right now other priorities but if that comes to it so be it. The others will wait longer.

I used this and just removed the amp from under my seat, took about 10 minutes.

I'm blaming this under-seat amp because it runs the door speakers front and back, and the head unit does the dash speakers directly.

This harness allows for either of those options. If you connect the same-colored wires to each other and plug them in, you've bypassed the amp entirely. If you connect them to the inputs and outputs of your amp (might need to run heavier gauge wire for the power) then, there you go, aftermarket amp.

Personally, I bypassed, as my Dasaita puts out more power and cleaner signal than the OEM SR5 non-JBL "amp."

It's really just as simple as color-matching for the L/R + and - sets!

Is there a harness that is already connected? It looks like there are a lot of wires that don't match up

Correct, the headunit puts out more power than the non-JBL amp provided in the SR5 trim 2016+.

There's just a mismatch of the connectors on either side of the amp for send and return (which, bonus, means you can't hook it up wrong.) The incoming wiring has more wires because you don't need a return wiring of the ground and +12V power, of course.

Alright I’ll give it a go. You said sounds clean and pushes enough to properly power them? I’m slightly curious why the harness doesn’t properly work. Any idea how to without a line out converter run rca from unit to amp?

Oh yeah, it's much louder and yet, cleaner sound running right from the headunit. And that's with the stock OEM speakers, I may upgrade those eventually but I'm not a huge audiophile, and this brought it up from "just kinda sucks" to "hey that's pretty good - good enough!"

I don't know what you mean by "the harness not properly working" - the one you've got behind the headunit?

To run an RCA from the headunit to an amp, I know these Dasaitas usually have a sub output but you'd have to look at the back (or the manual) for this exact model to see what's there. It might just be as simple as fishing the cable and plugging it in.

Yes the plug and play harness from head unit to factory harness. Worked with pioneer but not this one.
Cables are already ran just need to find an rca hook up. There are a few for video but the other red red white white that are labeled fr fl rl rr I’d have to pull it back out to get all of the rca hookups that are not utilized.
As far as those connectors you said on Amazon just color match and heat shrink?

Ok, so hang on here. I'm really not following anymore I guess.

The Dasaita should have come with it's own harness to connect the factory wiring to.

Your Pioneer harness should work with your Pioneer stereo and that brand (perhaps model) alone.

If you're trying to plug the Pioneer harness into your Dasaita headunit, we found your problem. If your Dasaita came incomplete without the harness to connect all the factory connections to it, we found your problem.

This harness I'm talking about and linked above, goes under your passenger seat, not behind your headunit. It takes the factory amp wiring signal, from the headunit, and loops it out to the speakers.

I'm growing more and more suspicious you're missing something behind the headunit or it isn't plugged in completely/properly. Perhaps the right next step, after quick double-checking all your work and that all connections from factory wiring are hooked into the Dasaita directly, then we could go from there.

This isn’t my first stereo hook up. Stating the fact the the pioneer worked flawlessly. So in theory and realistic application the Dasaita one should work the same way. In fact I installed the pioneer and multiple others over the years. However when I remove harness from one stereo to replace entire system with a new stereo they usually work perfectly. The only variable in this is the Dasaita wiring harness and stereo. Everything is properly wired. Hence my question about why only dash is playing. I’m fully aware of where you implied the linked harness to be hooked up. I asked if you bypassed the entire amp and if when putting those linked harnesses together you just matched colors. I’d rather not spend 20 hrs playing does this work and just have someone’s experience doing the process that it has worked out.

Nope no worries. Yes it's that simple to entirely bypass the amp via the wiring harness route I've suggested. I'll try to find you the YouTube video I followed personally, one sec

My follow on is I’m wondering why direct wiring and bypassing the amp works but the head unit doesn’t push enough to make the amp “fire” lll pull it out when the harness I just ordered arrives and try to figure out the rca cables to the amp situation.

I definitely popped a fuse somewhere. Door speakers and beep doesn’t work anymore despite swapping previous stereo into the truck. That being said all fuses under hood are good to go. Not sure which one but I’ll figure it out tomorrow which under dash fuse it could be and replace.

Since the unit is pulled out for now to wire my rca cable to my subwoofer which rca plug does one use? The 6 I have are green labeled subwoofer. Yellow labeled aux-v. 2 each white and 2 each red. Labeled FL FR RL RR. clearly i can assume sub woofer but that’s one of two required connections for the sub woofer. Any help would be appreciated. I’ll sort the popped fuse out tomorrow hopefully.

Yes just dash. No real settings changed. Dasaita said go to dsp and turn amp on but no option for that. They just said to connect some wires that didn’t sound correct. Currently head unit is sitting on my counter
