1794 Hybrid TRD OR with a 6.5’ bed. Done. Best of both worlds. Luxurious and somewhat capable if you need it to be, but no fake leather and over rated and overpriced pro bs. The hype on the pro is ridiculous.

Last truck was an SR5, wanted a limited this go around, and decided I wanted a hybrid and certain available options. Realized I was looking for a unicorn and for not much difference the platinums were much more plentiful. Searched around regionally until I could the color I wanted and pulled the trigger. Very happy so far, no issues yet.

This thing is a super computer compared to the 2015 I had (Radar cruise, Apple Car Play, tire pressure numbers!?!)

And when I need to actually use it as a truck and inevitably earn a ding or stripe from a bad mountain road, I won’t feel like I’ve abused a luxury car.

I think SR5 with some packages offer the best value, but if I had the money it would 1794 TRD OR Hybrid all day long. Those are gorgeous interiors

I'm afraid though she'd trade me in for a newer model......

You know that deer hung itself after being seen in that SR

Thanks for all of the awesome comments. @crewmax55 I’m hoping your Capstone and you last longer than 17 years!

My last Tundra (2014) and my current Tundra (2023) were both 1794 editions. I preferred the platinum look with the color matching but I had to have the brown seats!!!! I thought about the capstone but I didn't want to deal with the hassle of the white seats ultimately becoming every other color but white.

I used to buy a car that I could afford and then add on all the options I could do later.
    That s*cked.

If you like a sunroof, go for the model that has one. Want the panoramic sunroof, then you have those choices.

I have a 23 1794. Nice truck, rides well and is comfortable. It was supposed to come with a bed cover.... Toyota took that one away.
So that's on now. Any sort of mods I do are very mild considering what I used to do to my vehicles and so far I am happy.
As long as it lasts for a number of years I'll be set.

I have not seen a 1794 in real life. Are the seats like King Ranch quality? Does it smell leathery when you open the door?

I bought my truck on 16Dec2022 and it still has the new truck/leather smell every time I open the door. I'll be honest, I've only sat in a king ranch one time (probably a 2010 model). I remember thinking the leather felt really thick on the seats and were firm. Yes, it was very nice. The leather in the 1794 is really comfortable and soft. I have no complaints. My only complaint was on my 2014 tundra (1794). I guess from years of driving with shorts on during the summer, the leather on the very front of the seat (where the back of your calves touch the seat) started to tear pretty good.

yeah all that body oil/sweat breaks down the leather.

havent had an issue with our 2018 leather, but then again we always wear pants in ND so the leather never see's bare skin.

    just my guess

Down here in Louisiana, the A/C and cooled seats have a hard time keeping up with the summer heat/humidity!!!

The 1794 is very similar feature wise to the platinum. The color options an a bit more chrome is what's different. (yeah the floor mats have 1794 on the too)

The seat quality is ok. Smells like leather. Lots of little holes to vent the seats. So far i'd say its pretty comfortable.

    SR5 TRD Off Road.

It has every option I need, some I don't and most importantly doesn't have a big screen TV in the dash.

I don’t think I can drive a vehicle that doesn’t have a 14” screen in the dash anymore

meh dont matter to me, dont really use it that much now that the newness has worn off. since everything is now set, we rarely touch the big screen since everything pops up once the wifes phone connects. spotify starts up and thats pretty much all we need.

Right? I’m just waiting for the windshields to go away. All that glass, such a safety risk. Just put the forward view on my big ass screen, right?

Other than the backup camera, Spotify is the only thing I use the screen for and most of the time it's still faster and easier to navigate through the playlists on my phone than to use the Android Auto menus on the screen (the "safety pause" can fuck off). I hate how the big screens stick above the dash too, it looks like the screen was an afterthought.

I listed out what I wanted coming off of owning a Silverado Black Widow Edition. For me, the Limited had everything I wanted and was an upgrade from my silverado. The panoramic roof was a plus when it came in with it. value wise the Limited had all the bells and whistles more so than my previous trucks. The only thing that stinks is it came with Yokohama tires that look like the belong on an Volkswagon Beatle rather than true truck tires. But I can fix that when I get sick of looking at them.

Really depends on what you need to do with it. I had the option to get a low spec SR5 TRD OR and a SR5 TRD OR Premium. I opted for the premium. It was about 5k more than the lower spec. If I were to do it again, I would get a mid spec SR5 or if I could find one, I'd get a Limited HV. I knew originally that the OR stuff wouldn't get utilized by me but thought trade value may be better and it was the only way I could get the 14" screen. My must haves are 4X4, CM 6.5. big screen. And silver. I was planning on getting a TRD Sport but they don't make it with a 6.5 bed. Color matching stuff is something I can do down the road. HV would be just for the power, but I do like my under seat storage.
