I have a 2021 Tundra TRD Pro. I usually get my oil changed at a Toyota Dealership but its a hassle getting to them (hour drive). There is a Lexus dealership 10 minutes from my house though. I'm curious if anyone here has had their Tundra oil changed at a Lexus dealer.

Bet it'll be spendy, my nearest Lexus dealership is about that same hours drive away but their site says at least $100 for the oil change. My next 4 oil changes will cost me - let's see - $168 or so for the filters and oil, around $42 each? I just bought a 4-pack of filters and grab oil when I find it on sale, I stick to Mobil1 or Castrol generally. I swapped the drain plug to a Fumoto so don't even need to factor in the crushwasher there.

Crush washer goes between drain plug and oil pan and is one time use / soft metal. Helps get the right torque on the drain plug without damaging threads on the pan.

Lexus technicians would have a higher hourly rate than toyota. I'm not sure by how much. might be marginal depending on your area.

If cost isn't a concern, they're going to have the technical know-how for sure, as Lexus is essentially Toyota with premium bling after all.

Heck, I'd argue the experience would probably be cushier than usual since their dealerships tend to be even better stocked for coffee and snacks. I'd bring the work laptop and make a morning out of it!

Toyota changes the oil on my Lexus all the time. I always buy my own oil on sale and would pay $50 total for the oil change - at Lexus. The Toyota dealership is a lot closer to us after we moved in Sept. Lexus might charge you a bit more but I doubt it.

My wife has a GX460. Dealership wanted $250 for oil change and tire rotation.

I've used the Toyota dealership where I purchased the truck new for services the last five years. This most recent year I switched over to Lexus due to the Toyota service advisor taking a new position over at Lexus. I wanted to stick with the same service advisor because he's been great to work with and also works with my extended warranty w/o blaming things on aftermarket installs or the supercharger.

The oil changes and brakes I had done at Lexus also showed up on the Toyota owners website in the vehicle history which is nice.

Only Capstone and 1794 trims are allowed into the Lexus maintenance area.

JK, since the 5.7 is common for Lexus makes sense to me.

Ask for a quote on just the oil change. I have an LX470, oil change only is usually around $80. Adding a tire rotation took it $220ish last time I asked, but that was a while ago.

Lexus and Toyota dealerships can service either vehicle no issue, other than the premium price for Lexus service. All the training and software tools the dealers use are the same.

I’d love to know what is involved in a $140 tire rotation. Single use white silk gloves? For that price I would want a balance and alignment included in the rotation.

I go to a Toyota/Lexus independent for oil changes. I tried the dealer a couple of times, but the 3+ hour wait was just too much. It was amusing that they had big posters up telling you the wait could be up to 3 hours if you didn't have an appointment. I booked an appointment and it always took over 3 hours. It was a little over an hour yesterday, but they checked brakes and a few other things at the same time. It's a bit pricey, but I'd rather pay a little more to someone that wants to keep me as a customer and has proven to do top notch work in the past. For those interested, it's https://www.davenportmotorco.com/

I'll have to find my receipt from Lexus. I just had the oil changed and tire rotation/rebalance completed about a month ago.

Found it. This was just completed on 2/15/2023 at Earnhardt Lexus in Phoenix, AZ.
Oil Change and Filter came to $116.06. Rotate and Balance all four tires totaled $90.00.

It’s the same parts so why not? I would ask them to honor the Toyota price, worth a shot.
