We have those LGs. It has been 10 or 11 years now. Just leave the washer door open for a bit after switching to the dryer. No smells. I did have to buy a new heat element and thermistor off Amazon for the dryer last year.

Test drive YOUR truck before signing the check is the point.

I really don't understand not test-driving a vehicle before signing for it.
If the dealer didn't allow it, find another Toyota dealer.
If they didn't allow it, buy a different truck manufacturer..
Don't let automobile salespeople push you around, I learned that long ago.

In the OP's rant about waiting for delivery, if he chose not to buy the truck, the dealer certainly would have no issue selling it to someone else.
As to the DC rear seat being too small, all he had to do was look at the truck from the outside to see how small the back seat is.

Sounds like a case of 'I want it, I want it, I want it, at any cost', then regretting the purchase when the buyer came to his senses..
Best unwanted advice I can give the OP, sell the new Tundra and find a nice used 2018-2021 Tundra.
As rare as the Gen 3 s are in the land of Canada, you should have no issue selling it.
Just don't let them test drive it...:eek2:

Also, you might want to have your blood pressure checked.
You seem to be a bit high-strung with the boiling blood and all..
    Good luck..:canada:

    Lots of stuff!
I was in a similar situation. I ordered a Limited 5.5 TRD Offroad in April 2022. I was able to drive an SR5 Double Cab before placing my order. We weren't looking for specific wind noise during the test drive. The truck had lots of power which was our biggest concern. We did try to sit in the back and realized that the seats wouldn't work for our full grown kids. So the Crewmax was the ticket for that.

Then after waiting till September with no end in sight, I started looking elsewhere and found our Limited 6.5 TRD Offroad at a different dealership but it hadn't arrived and was 3 weeks away. We jumped on it based on our driving of the SR5. Everything seemed to meet our expectations with the purchase. The color and the bed length were different than our original order but we have been happy with the longer bed and the Black is nice as well. The Lunar Rock (our initial preferred color) has sort of fallen a few pegs when all we see in our area are Lunar Rock Tacos.

The demand seems to dictate this method of buying. If you don't hurry and make a decision, there will be 10 more people waiting to jump on your truck. The dealer was great and made sure that we did not pay more than Toyota's MSRP so no surprises. During this time we saw used ones popping up for 20K more and with someone else's miles. Sort of ridiculous to see the price gougers flogging used trucks for this much money. I saw a Limited Hybrid selling on CL for over $100k. It would have been $65k new.

Lately, I have noticed that the dealerships seem to have the odd Tundra on the lot with some of them hanging around for a while. Seems that our area has started to catch up to the demand. With our higher gas prices and the big EV push, the roads are littered with Teslas and Leafs!

Great way to change the topic! I guess if we are glued to our TV’s watching hockey, we won’t be driving our Tundra’s and listening to that whistling. :)

My wife is 5', 100 lbs. You'd look at her and think,...what harm could she possibly do? She can barely open a pickle jar.
    Nope. She's a Fk'n monster!

    Good idea

no problem with wind noise on ours. So it’s an issue that can be fixed. Have Toyota fix it. Force them to. Otherwise lemon law it

Doubt you could "lemon law it" for wind noise.

Your disappointment is valid. I’d be livid but I gotta be honest here. You signed away $65k with the swipe of a signature. You didn’t test drive a single new tundra by the sounds of it, you didn’t research anything or you’d have found the issues you found after the fact. You trusted a dealership and auto manufacture during a time when we all know that there are supply chain issues from top to bottom. You were probably willing to pay more than what the vehicle was worth when u did this based on the time frame you mentioned about signing. At what point do u sit back and realize none of this was a good idea and take some of that responsibility for your own decision making. I feel you on being disappointed about a new truck, low quality, not being treated the way you want to but this could’ve been avoided. FWIW, all manufactures seem to be slacking in quality and having their own issues so choosing a ford dodge or Chevy possibly could have left you still upset with your purchase.

It was just announced yesterday about when the second key will be issued. It is based on when you truck was built vs when you get your key. The basic roll out is from august on thru 1st quarter.

I was extremely disappointed to find out that Toyota was getting rid of the V8 and rebuilding the Tundra from the ground up. But I wasn't rooting for it to have problems. Actually, the opposite. I don't like any of the choices or directions they went with, but I figured,....it's Toyota, at least it'll be built well. I'm sorry to hear people are having issues with them.
Then again, like everything else, there's probably plenty of people not having any issues with them.
I guess, wait and see how it pans out over the next few years. I wonder what the mild refresh will look like in 2029.

I've read quite a lot on these boards and, in my opinion, there are too many complaints about the 3rd gen Tundras. I like a lot about them, but am holding off buying one. My '14 is a super good truck, so I will just keep on driving it. Sure sorry to read about the OP's bad experience.

I think I'm just going to drive my truck to town and park it, then call the dealership to tell them I've lost my key. They can then bring me a new key and fob. I really don't want to wait ten bloody months to get a second key for the truck.

It’s a BMW engine. It will be leaking oil from many different places right about 70k miles.

Overall the new tundras are solid. But some fit and finish issues are definitely out there. Most of these issues are not “major” albeit annoying for many buyers.

My post wasn’t in the buyers favor. I work in the industry as a Collision repair tech. My gripe with the original post is this... time and time again we deal with angry people that have this belief or expectation that buying a brand new vehicle is some magical experience that shouldn’t or never comes with issues. That’s far from rational thinking. Every single manufacture has problems of their own in one way or another. The OP openly admitting to No test drive and No research prior to purchase is a bit triggering for me.

more like, you call your dealer, they tow it back to the dealer at your expense and then you buy another key anyways.

my suggestion, just buy the key now pay the 400 bucks and move on with life if you really need it, or just forget about it until they send you one.

its not worth being upset about, life is too short

    Lots of stuff!
Sort of funny that this is the same subject on a thread at the Airstream forum. If you spend $190k on a trailer, you expect to have all your cupboards stay attached while you are driving to the campsite. When you get there and can't open the door because the cabinets are pressed against the door, you get a real dose of reality that QA is no where to be found!

Sorry but this really isn't funny, just a sad state of affairs.
