Unfortunately Im not going to be a very good test mule for the filters because I took them out without any testing. I thought they may have made some extra turbo noises but I also took out the noise dampening material in the air boxes at the same time which I think were more effective for that. They did make my exhaust set up a little too loud for my taste. The main decider for you will be the long term maintenance vs toss/replace with the oe filters. I chose the ladder.

I do have them for sale if you were interested in trying them for a lesser price.

Where does it say that it adjusts fuel trims? To be clear I'm excited not arguing with you. I thought that this is one of the barriers of programmers for the new tundra: boost not fuel is easier to control.

Great question! Not in a sense like a custom ecu tune but tricks the map sensors the tuner is directly plugged into which in turn increases fuel delivery, etc. It’s a very basic tuner with great results so far.

fuel trims might not be the best term. All these piggyback boxes do is trick the ECU into thinking its not making enough boost. Fuel trims are never modified, even with custom tunes...its the fuel tables that get the modifications....trims simply report what the ecu is doing so the engine runs at a commanded AFR.

Nothing fancy. Just blacked out the logo on the grille and added a sticker on the mode knob. And sat in it and smelled the newness while it’s still there. Waiting on my Leer Topper to arrive in 4 weeks (or less).

On the website it has the option for tundra gas. My question is if it works WITH the hybrid engine.

its only complex if you want to start doing custom stuff...otherwise its as simple as tapping on the map you want. All those extra features come in handy for fine tuning the maps if you run into any hiccups. Ive reached out to BMS and they tell me exactly what options to turn on/off and its fixed after a few emails and data logs. I dont think any other piggyback box can datalog or adjust the tune if needed.

It’s definitely a dance with the devil with the dealer and if something happens to the motor when it comes to warranty. I’m not scared though!

Also, I have to verify with AFE but the “stock” map seems to have improved mpg’s and drivability over actual stock. I’ll contact to see if anything was tweaked for that map

This is with 35’s and ~2.5 lift. I couldn’t break 15 driving Miss Daisy before

Finally took delivery this past Saturday and color matched the front trim on Monday. If anyone is interested in the dark chrome pieces, you may PM me. They were removed with 170 miles on them and basically in new condition.

I rolled out my Bed Rug into the 6.5’ box. I got the one with the tailgate protection as well. I still have to install the Velcro strips but it looks like a nice product.

Biggest thing to note is how little it weighs.

It has lived in a box all rolled up so I have some weight on it to help flatten it out.
