Hello, I'm in need of some experience with dropping the rear of my 2004 DC head liner in order to access the two10mm nuts holding the third brake/cargo light in place. I've found info on just about every Toyota other than the 2004-06 Double Cabs. Any words of wisdom or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bob Wood

My 1st suggestion is to get some plastic trim tools from AutoZone, Napa etc which can useful not only for this project but many others.

Performance Tool Trim Removal Set 5 Piece (autozone.com)

The below pics are just some of the clips that will have to be removed showing the usefulness of plastic trim tools to protect head liner.

The attached pdf is from an 04 FSM. They pertain to the area you're dealing with. If you need others, don't hesitate to ask.
If I find a 04-06 youtube, I'll edit to add.

Thank you Bubba I appreciate the info. I have trim tools, was just hesitant to start popping things off until I heard from someone. I saw the round plastic clips just wasn't sure if that was the route to take.

Hmm are the double cabs 3rd brake light different than the AC? I didn't have to drop my headliner to pull the 3rd brake light on my AC.

Hey Nick, I can't speak to the 01 AC, but my 04 DC has two 10mm nuts under the headliner securing the third brake light to the cab.
