I finally installed some fender flares. My intention was to color match but I really like the look as is and with the black bolts in the flares instead of the polished ones it came with. I took a gamble and went with the more cost effective flare options and they fit perfectly. Below is everything I used for the install.

I also decided to chop off a little of the tailpipe and black out the tip to finally get that last bit of chrome off.

    IMG_2263.jpg IMG_2260.jpg IMG_2261.jpg IMG_2435.jpg

Oh and lastly, I color matched my “limited” badge to a matte bronze to go with my wheels.

Sparks Toyota had the best price…$600 I think and they arrived in 2 days ! You will need the iHacker harness to make the install truly plug and play. I was debating between the OEM TRD Pro lights or the Form Lighting knock offs with the switch back DRL/turn signals. That feature is pretty cool. When it comes to headlights I think OEM guarantees great quality so that’s what I ordered. I switched out the halogen amber turn signals that came with the Pros for Auxito’s latest version of the 7440 LEDs…$41. Although the halogen bulbs were pretty bright the Auxitos are maybe 20% brighter but I love how LEDs come on so quickly.

    looks great!

Are those bumpershellz on the front? If so I’d recommend them for the rear as well.

I was in the situation as you, color matched rear, chrome front caps. I went with all for corners.

Really like how the all black bumpers look, maybe you will as well.

I needed a bbq brace for the bed. I wanted it to be removable, not overly complicated, and strong enough for off-road trips. I put it on the side with the jack mount to further offset the weight of the gas tank. Just a chunk of plywood and some strategically placed braces, a couple button head screws into rivet nuts in the bed, and a ratchet strap and we’re in business.
(For the OCD guys, the brace for the propane is not centered on purpose to allow room for the regulator on the rear of the bbq)

Bummer man. I’d be upset as well, but I’m sure if you fill those gouges in with some matte black paint you'll forget about it soon.

Or… could be a solid excuse for a full size spare..:monocle:

First oil change with High Performance Lubricants Premium Plus PCMO 5w-30. Tundra tick is greatly reduced (similar to Valvoline EP 5w-30). PAO and ester base with a massive dose of moly. Sounds good to me!

Put on some AVS window visors last week. Need to redo the FP because it's catching on the corner as I roll up the window.

Just ordered the remote tailgate lock. I'm ready for the convenience of locking the tailgate.

Couple of minor projects. Got tired of nighshading my 3rd brake light lens every few months, too lazy to pull down the headliner and replace the whole housing, and skeered something might leak putting it all back together. So, I bought a replacement gasket since the old one was getting flat from removing the lens every so often, and bought just the smoked lens from klearz. Yeah it’s just as or more expensive than a whole LED housing, but with my VLEDs in there, looks pretty good day and night, bright.

Wanted the top crossmember “easy” bar from RCI (you get it with the cat shields, Talon’s also sells them separately) to stay in place when I need to remove the engine and trans skids for service. I didn’t want anything permanent like a tack weld or drilling a hole for a bolt/nut combo, so, since I imagine it gets hot up in there with everything bolted up, I used some heat tape. I also wanted a little extra security, so, I bought four stainless security bolts, all M8x100mm, and two stainless M8 locknuts: the front two bolts screw right up into the “easy” bar nut clip RCI provides, and the rear two bolts screw into the two M8 locknuts. Tad bit more peace of mind.

genius! I'll have to take my engine skid plate off while I do some work underneath but was planning on keeping my tranny/cat guard on. This will help the engine skid plate reinstall go alot easier without having to drop the whole tranny plate and start from scratch.
