Yes, for sure! I guess the way to look at is, shouldn't have to take it out often. But when you need it, it'll be worth the effort.

I agree. With the weight of that jack, it should me mounted to the floor, not on a molle panel.

I sent him an E-mail also. I am headed to Colorado for 3.5 weeks and was looking for a mount. I was wondering if they were available in aluminum but if the mount is 10lb I wonder how much saving we are talking about. Most likely negligible

 

What's with mounting this well made mount up like that, with bungees? Undoes all the safety that justifies buying that mount.

 

And, mounted to the floor with hardware, or at least ratchet strap(s), not bungee cords.

 

Looks like he is selling on eBay for 199, made an offer at 150...countered at 185 haven't responded back.

Yeah I'm not sure why he hasn't responded to the PM's. I had an excellent transaction with him when I bought mine a couple of months ago. I wonder if he's not getting PM inbox notifications. I have had that happen before.

Looking for temporary mounting options for my trip on July 28th. There is no way I can get one by then but I need something. With the taller tires I am not capable of getting that tire off the ground in my garage.

I am not going to take the Molle panel option as an option, I am out on that one

 

Anything in your bed that you can cargo strap it down to?

I was looking at putting it on top of my spare but I want to keep things low. The bed is going to be full so real estate that has the ability for tie downs is limited

 

well it is crowded in the bed with a 37" tire laying in there. Any pictures of self made temporary holding ideas are welcomed. I sat out there yesterday with gas cans, recovery equipment, etc. trying to figure out a seating arrangement and nothing was acceptable yet.
