I can also confirm that 3.5 hours from Seattle, in Kennewick, WA, my boy just bought one this morning. It really is about who you ask. There’s a post above with the red clearance tag, pull that up and my receipt pic and you should be good. At my Seattle BB they had the unit on display, the description card, and no price tag for it. The other two I mentioned (JVC and Kenwood) did however have clearance tags. These stores are a bit of a mess, finding good help for them to hire or for us just to shop is iffy at best, so be patient, find a manager if you gotta. It’s $1200 savings damn near. Free install. I wouldn’t have ever bought it at original price so this is big time for me

 

I really wanted the Kenwood for the Bifmobile though... they don't even show up on the websites around here.

 

As of 1245 pacific time today. Kid at the counter wasnt going to do the price because they didn’t have it in stock and he kept looking it up in their system through the web site and it was coming back $1399.99. Management had to get involved. He started saying that price is under our cost so the system won’t let me refund you. He starts putting in numbers $360, $370 etc trying to get the system to do the price match. I said that’s not going to work for me. I told him do a return on it and then go into the system like I’m buying another one from you right now. It came up at $350.99. He did a return refunded the $490 and I bought it at $350. Went ahead and ordered another one to be shipped to the house. Will be there on the 17th.
Kid that originally was helping me says damn that’s a crazy deal and thanked me because he is going to order one now

 

Lol I just tried this (return and rebuy after the price match didn’t work) with a potato brain at the store I bought mine from. He wasn’t following along and the line behind me was getting long so I figured I’d try another day.

 

I’m telling you that feeling will pass. Especially at this price.

This damn forum has only cost me one fight with my wife so far, today. Probably another one on install day

 

Heck of a deal if you can find one. All sold out at BB around me.

 

I personally would plan on two install days especially if this is ur first go at installing a more advanced setup like this. The break in between will be worth it.

day one
Do all the wiring of harnesses and assembly of the headunit (can be a little frustrating) flash the Mastero and clean everything up.

Day two
Install in truck and spend time dialing in the system then clean up everything.


I think we will start a (another?) dedicated install thread for this. Help get the whole crew through this install. Myself and @TRDFerguson both have them installed and working perfectly. Between us we have minor differences between the hookup and what parts have been used. The problem is I didn’t take a ton of helpful pics but I got enough I think.

Only a few stores in the PNW have actually had one in stock. Guess hipsters don’t by nice radios.

I couldn't get the price match today, since I don't physically have the units yet, buy they gave me a receipt to honor the $350.99 when I pick them up Wednesday.

I figured they would charge additional for all the other stuff. It's quite a bit of additional work. I plan to add a front camera, too. It will really help climbing over hills. Because I never get out and look. Scares the 'ol lady a whole bunch!

 

Hopefully they don't give me any hassle, haha.

 

I would much rather help you install (via phone/internet) than see a post how a BB installer screwed ur truck up. We got ya brother. We will get it done.

The Mastero is easy. Just gotta take ur time and make sense of the harnesses.

 

I haven’t put in a stereo in forever but work in 12 volt. I may have to break out my MECP book for a refresher.

 

I gotta give @RainMan_PNW credit. I called him a few times dealing with the parking break bypass BS. That was the only issue that stumped me and we are still both confused why the pin is empty on the Mastero harness coming from the factory one.
