Truck already has a TR1 in it for the current Alpine headunit. Hopefully that will work.

I haven't mess with in car video since I found test mode for an old Pioneer AVIC that I used to play my iPod video on back in the day (long before streaming was a thing).

Hi All and thanks for the great info about the deal here. Already temporary connected the 511 to my 2018 tundra with JBL. One question though I couldn't find an answer to: do I connect the two RCAs from maestro harness to the 2 front outputs of the Alpine? Or should I use another output? Thanks!

Also is there way to skip the $15 Sirius transfer fee to move the subscription from the factory HU?

Yes, that's the one. It is pictured on the maestro install diagram, but it doesn't say there which output to use, just says connect to aftermarket headunit

Do you have the factory JBL system? If you plan on retaining said amplified system you will need to connect to the right front and left front rca outputs of your new radio..If not, it should not be needed.

 

No, but I don't have the JBL system. I'd have to troll the JBL install guide to know what that's for.

 

Yes, I have JBL with factory amp for now. That's exactly how I connected it (to the front outputs) and it works, was just trying to confirm. Thank you!

 

The low level stereo signal from the aftermarket unit is encoded and injected into the digital canbus to feed the source audio to the factory amp.

Did you do the bypass for the parking brake? What adapter did you use?
