Look at his post again. I see an image directly under the one you quoted showing his view from his screen.

Just got done installing my Bilstein 6112 at 1.9" and 5160 plus rear leafs. I go in for an alignment tomorrow and then continue to search for a topper to add. 20230814_184433.jpg

I attempted to plastidip my wheels. One wheel was a failure lots of divets/small hole things the others didn't turn out to bad. And for only $35 I can't really beat it. Untill I get some new wheels anyway

Good looking truck. Black and blue are a good combo. If you need some inspiration or to see some quality DIY work. Check out @BlueRibbon4x4 build thread, he has a Blue Ribbon tundra and he refinished some wheels. Lots of addictive info, so be prepared lol

Thanks! I have to say I've have read through his build at least three times. Its an absolutely gorgeous truck. I'm biased on the color cause well I have it but his truck is 20/10 creme de La creme

Why would they require a deposit when the truck is still under warranty and the windshield has not been touched since the factory installed it?

    Too many mods to come
Pops dropping the rig off for phase 3.0. This phase will include redoing the long travel suspension, frame plating ,clearancing, shock tower brace, custom intake box, GFC frame tie in, batteries relocation to the bed, water meth kit, carbon fiber front fenders and more.

Suspension will be going from total chaos LT and kings to Lsk race kit and spring under rear with ADS’s. I’ll try and document the build as best as I can. Maybe start its own build thread since it’s gone through a few iterations.

Still inspecting, but they believe it's due to the frame expanding & contracting as the temperature changes during the day - affecting the seal. They want to keep it one more day and test first thing tomorrow morning when it's still cool.

They are giving me a 2023 Tundra as a loaner though; going to go pick it up in a few hours. They could never pry my v8 out of my hands, but I have been wanting to try out the new ttv6... gotta try to keep the glass half full, otherwise I might just lose my mind.

Really hoping that this is resolved, and once resolved, is the last of my issues. I tease my chevy friends way too much for them to know that my truck has now been in the shop for almost a week.

Some of the dealerships out there have been douchey about doing warranty work the last year or two; my guess would be they are trying to deter warranty work from tying up there bays :notsure:

Thanks for the updates... I'm sure they'll get it resolved for you, but at least you can do a thorough ;) test drive w/the Gen3; that would actually be kind of fun:mudding:

I think it's required so that if they find it's due to something I did then I can't skip out on paying for the inspection done. They had me make a similar commitment when I had the battery issue, and ultimately it was not charged when they found it was a manufacturing defect.

Edit: this third gen rips! I don't think I've ever driven a turbo car, so I'm not used to the small amount of lag before it shoots off

Yeah, definitely go lighter for the first couple. It will look shitty and you will think you need more. Don't! Slowly build it up and it will come together.

That's exactly what I did on two of them lol it kept getting worse as I was adding more and more. One of my wheels kinda turned out like that but I'm not worried cause eventually I will replace them
