I am not used to having new vehicles come with "extras" like mud flaps. I ordered the Weathertech mud flaps for my 1794 and when they came I realized the truck already had Toyota mud flaps installed -.

I went ahead and replaced the factory ones with the Weathertech because they do add about an inch of extra width, however I am not convinced it was worth the $125 I paid. Oh well, lesson learned.

I wonder if they would work with rough country sport fence flares

I've had the weathertechs on since they came out, works well for me but I'm all stock.

My Limited did not come with mudflaps so I installed WeatherTechs. They work fine and were easy to install. Still surprised at how much they cost for such a simple thing. I would do it again.

Installed the WeatherTech's on my SR5 this morning. Purchased mine through Cabela's since I had a 10% discount and credit to use. Went on easy, seem like they should work out well.

I guess I could sell the OEM mud flaps since they will just take up space in the garage.

I moved up a tire size or two and the flaps work great. I have a 1794 and it didnt come with mud flaps.
Weather Tech ones went in easy and so far so good.

I sort of agree with the op.... if you had factory flaps already, I would have kept them and returned the weather techs.
If you got nothing, i'd go weather tech over OEM.

Are the Weathertech any longer than OEM? You mentioned they are about an inch wider. I’d like to find something longer that has an OEM fit and look. I have noticed some stone chips on the side of my bed in front of wheel opening a foot above the factory stone guard on the paint

Maybe slightly longer but not significantly.

Local friend had factory mud flaps on his 1794, and when he went with larger tires, they rubbed. He swapped them out with the Weathertech ones, and it gave him about an inch of clearance. Worth it in my book.

I’d be happy to take ‘em off your hands if you still want to sell them.

Anyone have pictures of them mounted? Their website doesn’t show any.

My factory mud flaps are very close to the tires with 285/75R18s.

Sold them to a member for $50. Didn't need them and wanted to help someone else.

I didn't even realize my 1794 doesn't have mud flaps until I checked a few minutes ago. I guess it's too much to ask for mud flaps to be standard equipment. WTF, Toyota? Oh well, what's another $160, right?

I read somewhere that mud flaps are standard on TRD packages. Otherwise, they are options that may, or may not, be added to allotments. I'm not sure if that is accurate or not, but I plan to ask about it the next time I'm at my stealership.

Nice! I wish the TRD package was standard on the 1794. I wanted that option too, but I wasn't willing to wait another 6 months for it. In my younger years, I would have had to have the TRD Pro. Nowadays, that beautiful saddle tan 1794 interior was most important to me. When a pearl white one became available, I jumped on it.

That is what I would have chosen as well (pearl white), however I got the Celestial Silver with the saddle tan interior and the TRD Offroad. It was my second choice and was available at $3K below MSRP.

Did anyone have difficulty snugging the screws down? On each set I was really only able to snug one screw down. I was cautious not to strip it. Any thoughts?
