Tough to tell in your pictures, and I've never had my hands on the ACC-HU-KEN1 harness. But I drew this up...

Thanks for your help. Looks like I have to cut and de-pin. The Ken1 harness plugs in to the Maestro HRR-TO3, so that parking wire goes through at least two plugs. I found the pinout for the ken1 and I guess their light green is more of a turquoise, but it is the 6th from the left in my photo. Might give it a shot in the AM. How bad can it go? If it goes downhill, can always pop open a beer to see if that straightens things out.

My memory is just ground a long green wire (this was 3 years ago, the 9906 & 1057 use the same harness)

I came in to ask, do any other HU's that do TPMS reporting (other than Kenwood) through Maestro have the losing reporting issue?

Tuesday I was rewiring my intercooler pump to only run when the truck is running & just went through fuses until I found one that did not run the pump key off, of course it was the radio which after setting it back up, had TPMS restored (that had stopped working about a week prior)

Maybe a simple reset is the solution? I'll find out in a week to a year when I lose it again.

FedEx was supposed to deliver 1 of the 2 last things I need today. Of course, being FedEx, when I looked it up it said delayed. God damn you FedEx! :annoyed:

Also, quick question for those that have used the Maestro before. I flashed mine yesterday and as you know, you have the option to program each button for both a press and a hold. For the volume +/- I left it as press for +/- but didn't do anything for "hold". Do I need to re-flash it so the hold option is also +/- so the volume will scroll up/down when holding the button as it does stock?

I believe the default is if you hold vol - it will mute

When I flashed it, it said default for hold was "none". I'm thinking I need to re-flash.

No you’ve got it right the way it is for what you want. I don’t know why Maestro thinks hold to mute is a good idea lol. I mapped my source/mute button to those functions and took off the hold stuff for the volume.

lol you should be ok, but it could also set you up for 1 click of the volume when you hold…. I’d reflash to hold=none on the volume buttons.

Seems all shippers try to out fuck up each other.

I had a UPS package out for delivery from less than 10 miles away that then went on a 12 day excursion over 1000 miles with several days seeming lost.

Don't forget the plastic cover between the screen and unit. It won't power on without it.

Not directly related to the headunit, but ran the two side cameras today while I wait for the last of the adapters to arrive. I picked up an older post about running puddle lights and replicated the process.

    20230826_090550.jpg 20230826_091837.jpg 20230826_092642.jpg 20230826_094622.jpg 20230826_094921.jpg 20230826_095246.jpg 20230826_095930.jpg

Not a difficult process at all, no need for a wire fish. I set things up where I can cut the necessary loops for the camera once the headunit is in, with only needing to remove the door sail cover. Bonus, if the inexpensive camera needs replacement, I don't even need to remove the mirror itself again, just the glass, no difficult calbling to rerun or anything, just plug and play.

I may need to pop the glass off again to re-aim the cameras once it's all installed, but since I'm stuck waiting for Monday I just went ahead and reassembled everything. I'll finish running the wires up to headunit space when everything's in hand ready to go.

Who else is installing the Kenwood in a non-JBL 2.5gen? I've got these two extra cables for the Maestro RR2 and it's sus, because they're not in the "not needed" list of cables, nor am I finding anything for them to link to in the wiring diagram.

You'll have to go up the A pillar, but I'm just going atop the steering column. Better pointing direction at driver.

So if I'm looking at this correctly you only hook up the white connector with one wire to the harness and run the connector down to the OBD2 port, the twisted wire #2 connector is not used. Is this correct?
