    2 reasons. I prefer the longer nipple on the F133N and I personally don’t see the need for adjustable position.

    My plastic lever clip retainer came off and I saw that Fumoto sells basically a spring hose clamp. I needed one immediately so I got one from Ace for $.85, great insurance if you off road at all and don’t have a skid plate covering the oil pan. I went with the short nipple valve so it didn’t stick down as much.

    I was curious and wanted to see both the F103sx and F133n side by side, so I ended up grabbing both and will return the one I don’t want.

    Figured I should post an image of them for anyone else considering one or the other.

    Right now, I’m leaning towards using the F133n because it’s actually smaller and seems like it would have fewer points of failure. I’m doing my first oil change on the ‘23 at 1100 miles this weekend and will update if my mind changes while under there.

    I prefer the Fumoto because it doesn't require tools or to carry/be able to locate any additional parts to drain the oil. Last thing I need is to be across the country, need an oil change, and lol can't find the screw-in drain hose thing.

    I've got the TRD skidplate with full coverage so nothing I'll ever hit my truck with will every connect with the Fumoto, let alone jostle the lever, it's well protected. These new copper clamp things look cool, I might grab a few to see how they compare to the plastic ones!

    Yeah the Fumoto probably works just as well, I posted another option. So...You don't use a hose with the Fumoto? It wouldn't be hard to carry the screw in adapter and an 8" piece of hose on a road trip. Can fit into a sandwich bag and placed in the center console. :D

    I carry a very short 6" one for ease of use, but if I lose it or some crackhead steals it out of my truck etc, I'm not stuck, just less control of the fluid flow at draining!

    I have the valvomax and it’s very tidy.

    By any chance do you remember the size spring clamp you used? I’d like to pick a few up for all of my vehicles, but can’t see paying $2 a piece plus shipping from Fumoto.

    I actually had a Valvomax strip during torque that I installed on my Audi Q7. I ended up having to add epoxy on the threads. <shrug> It wasn't the Valvomax that stripped per se, but the threads for the oil drain plug.

    Never heard that one and I have had 6+ vehicles with Fumoto valves. I would say follow the instructions.

    I use the f133n on my truck. Nicely tucked up there. Only thing you can use is a clear hose to put on the nipple.
    That way it can drain on nice windy day without spilling a drop.

    If anything is stripped it’s from over torquing.
    Fumoto has torque specs of about 15 (depending on model) which is half of the oem plug torque. And I’d say most people just tighten “good and tight” without a torque wrench. 15 pounds isn’t much.
    The valvomax lists “hand tight with a wrench” as a spec. I can see this as a problem.
    Valvomax I’d tighten to fumoto torque.

    I tried ordering the Valvomax and I can’t “click” the shopping cart.

    I installed the Fumoto on my 2022 tundra and works great. Installed perfectly on my Tacoma too. Just don’t be dumb installing it

    The internet has a search function, which I used.

    I used a Fumoto on my Stinger as it has a plastic oil pan, I know how to torque.

    Thank you for your concern.

    I didn't like installing a soft brass valve in a hardened steel oil pan on the Tundra, why I went with a steel Valvomax.

    Made is USA, veteran owned.

    I added a Fumoto at my last oil change. It went on like any oil pan drain plug. Put it on by feel, firm but not too much torque, same way I have done maybe 500 oil changes.

    To me, because I'm under the truck screwing around with the filter anyways, the drain plug isn't a big deal. Maybe 30 seconds to remove and 30 seconds to put back in. Different when the filter is accessed via the top.

    It's still nice to take the oil straight to a storage container and not have to use a big messy oil drain pan. And then have to pour that into the storage container. Just need a smaller one for the filter.

    That was my reasoning for getting the Jowett Performance filter housing. Billet aluminum with a similar valve for draining it. With a bit of hose neither valve risks a mess. Ultra convenient and clean, so I moved them both over to my Taco when it replaced the Tundra.
