Hey guys, just wanted to share I recently installed the Alpharex Nova series on the truck in alpha black with the amber DRL. I've been running the Anzo's for quite some time and decided to make the switch so I can hopefully do a real life comparison on YouTube.

    Some things I've already noticed:
DRL: The Anzo DRL is quite a bit brighter than the Alpharex but both DRL's are easily visible even in direct sunlight. Anzo has a much thicker DRL light while the Alpharex seems a bit more refined.
Cutoff: Both have better cutoffs than stock. Alpharex cutoff is noticeably sharper and has a nice purplish tint around the edge of the cutoff similar to some high end headlights like in Audi's and Mercedes'.
Output: By my eye, the Alpharex seems to put more usable light on the road and is a bit brighter than the Anzo.
Peripheral lighting: IMO this is where the Alpharex blows the Anzo out of the water. I noticed from day 1 that the Anzo had quite a bit less peripheral output than OEM. The Alpharex is on par with OEM if not a bit better.
Adjustment: Both sets of lights retain the factory manual light leveling in the cab that my Limited has. I'm unsure on the auto leveling that the upper models have. Both offer adjustable vertical adjustments on the headlights themselves but the Alpharex offer horizontal adjustment to get your light spread exactly how you want it.

Honestly, I've been pleased with both sets of lights. The DRL on the Anzo is much more pronounced and aggressive while the Alpharex has a more refined look to them. Performance goes to the Alpharex with a much better throw and spread of light. Look out for my YouTube video I'll link here when it's done!

For now, here's some pics as I'll add some more as I get pics of the output, cutoff, etc.

    Alpharex:

Let me know which ones you like below!

They're around $1700 give or take, depending on options. I believe they have a one or two year warranty on them.

I'd love to see output shot comparison. I did speak with someone who sells Alpharex and he said the output was not as good as OEM projectors, which is to be expected. It is super rare you'll find aftermarket headlights that out perform OEM projector led/hid. Lexus(Toyota)and Acura(Honda) have been known for their amazing headlights in the retrofit game for years, so hard to beat.

I'll have to do some digging on warranties, neither company explicitly states it in the product listing but I know both have some kind of warranty. Both are going to run about $1700, but I believe
Honestly, I love both looks. They both have pros and cons with their appearance. Wish we could combine all the things I like into one headlight haha
    They both are.
Yep what the guy above me said. The Anzo were about on par with my stock Limited lights, the Alpharex are a bit brighter but I'm not sure anything is going to compare to the top of the line OEM lights. I'll do my best to find someone local to me with those and do a comparison.

Personal, I like the look of the Alpharex. Looks sweat!!

However the Anzo design with the round lights, matches well with all the other lights you have going…

Yeah, I used RX 330 and RX 350 projectors in a few retros. Hard to beat that cutoff and step from those RX setups.

It means you can drive with them and zero risk of fines. DOT compliant means you are good to go.

Not necessarily. You need to know your state/provinces laws. Here, your vehicle needs to “meet manufacturer’s specifications”. Essentially no mods are legal. That being said, will you ever get stopped or fined for it… no. If your vehicle is so modded it’s a hazard, and it’s seized for inspection will it come up, yes

I can't speak for Canadian provinces ( I forget there's Canadian's here), but in the US, anything that is DOT compliant meets section 108 of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards which are referenced/guidelines for State/Local laws and NHTSA guidelines. If it's DOT compliant in the US, and doesn't require changes to configuration, you're good to go.

That's good to know. It seems not long ago, while there were many options for aftermarket headlights, nothing advertised dot compliance. I appreciate the education, guys.

There's an adjustment knob on the very top of the headlight that does it. There's another in the typical location down lower on the back of the headlights.

I'll also attest to this. Both companies have had stellar customer service. Anzo first sent me a beta pair of their lights that began to have some issues with the DRL. They addressed this, sent me the revised pair that is now for purchase, and I have had no issues with them at all.
