Did you use non hubcentric spacers? You may be in for a wild ride if you did. That's where the link took me anyway

Looks great. Keep that frame treated and it should last you for +20yrs

I see you're running Icons, what's the tire size on those KO2s?

That color is so hard to find. I’ve looked for a used one with no rust from cali to Florida with no results or a 30k price tag

Interesting, I just posted a really nice blue one like that over here, it's about $2k-3k overpriced IMHO, but spotless, and a matching top-quality shell: https://www.tundras.com/threads/want-to-buy-a-1st-gen-dc-4x4-ca-price.128778/#post-3283988

    Still available too. V8, 4WD

I can't speak to this green one near me, but I also like this color.

The green one or the blue one?

I'm typically looking on CL just for shits and giggles. I should spend less time on the internet and more time on my truck, but here lately, my job requires me to be online, but not always with 100% saturation, so ... I get to looking at things here or there.

That green(Timberland Mica)is one of my favorite colors. I've mentioned it before. They only offered that color in 06 and it's very rare at this point. I've only seen a handful in person.

I think the other one is Blue Steel Metallic. Only made 05-06.

Autumn Red Mica is also extremely rare.
I have never seen one of these.

Fun fact: In 97 Toyota painted some Tacomas lavender steel metallic, paint code 926. In 98 they changed the name to cool steel metallic, paint code 926. Only two years you could get a taco in that color

    upload_2023-8-14_12-22-39.png

My 99 was also a rare color. Horizon blue metallic.

    Lavender steel aka cool steel
    upload_2023-8-14_12-28-16.png
    VS
    Horizon blue
    upload_2023-8-14_12-35-0.png
I believe they also did for 3rd gen 4Runner.in both colors as well. Also super rare.

Edit: it appears blue steel and cool/lavender steel have different paint codes. I guess they are slightly different.

Man I had a boss way back when in Houston who had a double cab 1GT that was like a burnt orange color I think. I rode in it once with him. Think he had the supercharger too. The dude drove like a maniac. It was a sweet 1GT. Wish I knew where that truck was now. Probably Galveston bay…

    I wish I knew too.
I'm never going to get to supercharge my trucks... :pout:

I had a supercharger for the 5vz once, but never had the opportunity to install it and had to sell it.

Also with all the talk about blue steel earlier I can't believe I missed this opportunity...

Once our other long travel build is mostly done haha we're trying to debate if it's worth getting some Dobinsons MRR for it while we collect LT parts. It's getting caged, linked, the works. So it's going to be some time :(

It's a problem haha we may not keep the 4runner long term. The first gen is going to be so much better in every way. So I can definitely see the 4runner getting replaced with a GX or something. I still need a dog hauler, otherwise I probably wouldn't even own SUVs.

The colors are definitely close! We'll paint the fenders and hood eventually. The front fenders weren't hard but the bedsides are kind of a pain. Each stock bedside has 75 spot welds you have to drill out. We had to unbolt the bed and slide it back to get to all of them.

Just a stock hood from a junkyard that's been sun faded bad. It's not the right color right now either because it came from an 05 or 06

I figured you got one of them fancy fiberglass hoods with all the louvers and scoop to match your fenders.

If you gonna have to paint it anyways, why not just paint the original?

Nah just stock. We might switch to a one piece front later when it's actually long traveled. And I am. The fenders and hood are getting color matched.

    Stance looks perfect!

Is that old Turner Field? And what is this chicken joint?

We just ate at Guthrie's (new to Peachtree City), good chicken. We have another one up in Menlo Ga we've eaten at a few times (about 35 minutes from our N Ga property).
