Does anyone know if there are any low profile sliders available for 07-21? I don’t like the look of the big step ones with the kick-out, I’d prefer to have something that tucks closer to the body. Pic below of the style I am looking for. These are the N-fab rock rails so they aren’t a true slider. Most of the frame mounted sliders I see are the really wide ones that stick out a ton.

Rocky road outfitters? I had some on an older 4Runner that tucked up tight. Mounted to frame, BUT, also mounted to pinch weld( didn’t like that part).

Yes I looked at those as well. They look really good but I read mixed things about their quality control and the fact that they’re mounted to pinch welds. I saw that on the Tacoma forums but since these trucks are significantly heavier I can’t imagine they will hold up better

Research them for tundras first. I've heard some horror stories. The mounting option was a huge red flag for me.

Our Rockrails are engineered to mount on the sub-frame as well as along the body seam.

We opted for RCI as we wanted lockout and top plate (dog friendly).

There should be some low profile options available, if you are willing to spend, have them shipped and are in USA. Being in Canada, we were limited and still paid a fortune to have them shipped. No regrets in the end.

You can see from the photo they don’t stick out very far but do provide a nice step.

I looked at RCI and I know their quality is top tier. Maybe they used to have more options but it doesn’t look like they have a non kick-out option at the moment for the 2nd gen

This looks good! Do they get in the way or make it awkward when getting in and out of the truck? I know on some trucks it makes it awkward to get in/out because it’s not enough to step on top of but your leg still rubs on it

In and out is far superior to not having a step at all. For the first 8 years of ownership didn’t have a step but wouldn’t hesitate to buy these again in a heartbeat. However standing on the ground reaching into the truck to grab something your leg does rub the slider. Also sticks out enough to prevent door dings and shopping cart bumps as well.

Do the Demello ones require drilling into the frame? I was looking at Victory4x4 ones but am hesitant because they require drilling into the frame and I am in the rust belt

    https://www.demello-offroad.com/download/sample/180

4 bolts into the frame on each side. 4 bolts drilled up from the bottom for superior strength but not mandatory.

I ultimately went with Demello because I was close enough to go pickup from their shop. Top notch folks and facility!

Does anyone make an aluminum slider?
Had some on my Tacoma that were great for the PNW winters.

Does anyone have pics of the N-Fab sliders posted above on their vehicle they can post?
I am specifically looking for a shot that shows the gap between the body and slider rather than the up-close high angle shots on the websites.

I am not looking for a frame mounted slider. I want something that bolts to the existing mounts in the body of my 2017 Double Cab that tucks up high enough to hide my bent up pinch weld.
I will not be doing any hard wheeling in this truck, just camping trips towing an off-road camper where some slight bumps may occur.

    Thanks.

Hopefully this gives you an idea of the gap bet body and “slider.”

    Thank you.

Does anyone have a picture of these on a double cab? I'll probably order these from the local 4wheel parts store this week as the websites seem more confusing on double cab vs crew max models. At least if they don't fit correctly it will be easier to bring them back.

My rear bumper is a prototype from Lil B's. I don't know if he makes it for the 2021. Sorry.

So I thought quicksand was the best color out there, but god damn seeing your blue with the chrome delete and the gold wheels is realllllly making me second-guess my self

That's a mighty fine, good looking truck sir

Top 3 colors on the 2.5 gen imo are Lunar Rock, Quicksand, and Cavalry Blue
