I have a 2020 Tundra and want to add back up sensors. I now that adding factory rear bumper sensor is nearly impossible due to programming it. So I'd like to add an aftermarket rear bumper sensors, has anybody done this? If so please let me know what kit you got and how you like it please.

@RainMan_PNW added the parking sensors to his rig. I think he said the ECU recognized them.

I would advise against the aftermarket sensors, to be honest tried them on several of our work trucks. They are hit or miss and not terribly reliable. We used the ones that most RV'ers or bus conversions use. We ended up using a rear facing camera to address our problems.

    Yes
    I added OEM parking sonar
It’s expensive, finicky, and a pain in the ass (compared to BSM that was relatively plug and play except for the added wiring under the truck).

One truck I’ve installed it in continues to have intermittent issues with the system not working or partially working (no warranties expressed or implied).

Factory parking sonar requires a separate ECU, a different instrument cluster (and programming that to the correct ODO), new main body wiring harness (or building your own), new switch, installing all six sensors (they daisy chain off each other for signal), new rear bumper wiring harness, and two added short harnesses in the front fenders.

90% of the time, mine is turned off. I have cameras that give me better visibility than the sonar does.

Useless. I leave mine off. Now the BSM and RCTA is another story. Love those.

The RCTA scares the crap out of me sometimes when it goes off. It is sensitive to the approaching vehicle's speed so I've had it pick up vehicles nowhere near my vicinity 100+ feet away in another section of the parking lot. 5 seconds later the dipshit rips by, moving way faster than they should be in a parking lot. Thanks RCTA!

And a much easier install (but still a bit involved)
