Yes, this is a 3-D printed prototype. And yes, we are moving forward with both single and dual pods. Both will go into production in October.

not in my truck, but see post #18, the guy clearly shows pic of the tranny in gear # and torque converter status

i would imagine he would be telling us it doesnt function and only displays #1 at all times

It's hard to tell from your pics, but will the iDash Stealth Pod work with trucks that have the JBL system?

Yes indeed! We tested the Stealth Pod in A-pillars with and without the JBL tweeter.

It apparently is too much to ask these days to just HAVE A LINEAR THROTTLE! My BMW motorcycle, my dirt bike, now my truck. If I push/twist for "x" amount of throttle, I want "x" amount of throttle!!

I looks like the stand alone module is sold out. How do I get one super fast VIP status?

Our website's inventory was set incorrectly! They are indeed in stock. I just updated the website. You need part number 64340. Please take a look here.

You should snap it up! I waited way too long for mine! Hey Jay a quick question! On the pedal monster app there is a setting called speed trim with various settings, allowing “throttle boost to ramp gradually at speeds below 10MPH in forward and reverse”. I have not yet tried this. Is this a mechanism for addressing throttle lag? Thanks for any information you can share!
    IMG_0159.jpg IMG_0160.jpg

    I found this online “
    Adjustable Low-Speed Trim
This feature allows you to adjust the rate at which PedalMonster adds sensitivity at speeds under 10 mph. This helps to avoid spinning the tires in low speed turns or on slippery surfaces. While level 0 turns off low-speed trim, levels 2-5 increasingly minimize throttle boosting from 0-5 mph. By 10 mph PedalMonster will boost the throttle normally. This adjustment helps with low-speed drivability during parking lot maneuvering, icy roads, etc, while allowing you to use more an aggressive mode and level at the same time. For example, if you like Track mode but don't want to slip while driving slowly on icy roads, simply set the low-speed trim to Level 5.”

The description you posted is accurate. Think of this feature as trim as referred to in a boat. When you trim something, you reduce its effectiveness. The higher you set this feature, the less PedalMonster adds under 10mph. Cue into the video at about 4:15.

@ToyFan I recently discovered some of the cool capabilities of the idash and have a few questions in regards to a 2nd gen (2017 in my case) tundra. If I purchased an idash and want to monitor the manifold density, what all must I buy with it? The truck is supercharged and already has a post intercooler IAT sensor that reads the true IAT entering the manifold through the OBD2 system. Can the idash use that OBD2 referenced temp to determine the manifold density if I just added a PSIA sensor, or must I also get the Temp sensor?

I guess I’m just wondering what all sensors/modules must I buy with the idash in order to read the following:

    1.manifold density
    2.boost PSIA
    3.boost PSIG

I may ditch my regular boost (PSIG) gauge and go with this if it can tell me so much more while being installed in the same 52mm gauge pod mount. Thanks!

Got my pedal monster and installed it this week. Works mostly as advertised, but still can’t get it to recognize when I’m in reverse

Jay from Banks here. What year is your Tundra? Can you tell me what Vehicle setting the PedalMonster has selected? You'll find this in the mobile app menu under Settings > Vehicle Selection.

Yes, the iDash is an incredibly powerful tool. It leaves Scan Gauge and others in the dust. To get the parameters that you're looking for, we must first know a few things.

    1. Is the IAT sensor reading post-intercooler temperature? From your description, it sounds like this sensor is indeed providing what we need.
    2. Is the factory manifold pressure sensor accurately reading boost pressure?
If so, no additional sensors are needed to display Manifold Air Density. The iDash can use these OBD PIDs to calculate Manifold Air Density. If either of these two sensors is not available via OBD, we'll need to add a 4-channel analog module and the appropriate sensor(s). However, it sounds like you have all the data you need via OBD with no additional sensors needed. When you connect the iDash, it will automatically sense for Manifold Air Temp and Manifold Air Pressure. If these are available via OBD, which it sounds like they are, it will automatically display Manifold Air Density.

I guess that’s the thing is the OBD2 monitoring system doesn’t know the IAT it’s reading is actually the manifold IAT, the supercharger kit came with a breakout sensor that moves the sensor reading location from the MAF to the intake manifold post intercooler. As far as the OBD2 system knows, that’s just the Intake air temp at the MAF sensor. There is not a factory manifold pressure sensor, I have an aftermarket boost gauge the reads PSIG on the manifold that doesn’t communicate with the OBD2. For these reasons I think I probably have to buy the 4 channel module and both the manifold temp and pressure sensors in order to get the manifold density. If the idash could be told that the MAF intake temp was actually the manifold temp maybe I wouldn’t need that sensor, but is that possible?

The safest and preferred route is to add sensors. This will give you the best accuracy and response rate. We cannot know what the OBD-II data the iDash will pick up without having access to the vehicle (especially since it’s not a stock engine configuration). If you're in SoCal, you're welcome to stop by and we can sniff the CANBus, etc.

We'll be going back Gen 2.5... We're hoping that Gen 2.5 and Gen 2 share the same A-pillar. If anyone knows, please comment here. Otherwise, we'll be soon buying one of each pillar to confirm.

@ToyFan I wanted to make sure you saw this post. https://www.tundras.com/threads/gear-indicator-found.131129/ I downloaded the app and it does display what gear as well as Oil pressure as these are two of the things I would like to be able to see in the iDash. I have the iDash and Peddle Monster installed on my 2022 Tundra, I am very happy with both products and look forward to seeing what else Banks develops for the Tundra.

I had not seen his post. Thank you for sharing!!! I've already shared this info with our engineering team. They tried using the app he suggested with a few OBD dongles and could not get the same results. So, we're going to purchase the Veepeak LE dongle that he used to see if we can replicate it. When and if we do, we can get the data we need to display it on the iDash.

Here is a screenshot of the parameters I was monitoring with the App. The Gear AT did advance as the gears changed, I did not get above 6th gear as I was in town. I will try to run it again this evening and make sure it goes to 10.

I can see manifold absolute pressure on my Lexus GX460 with the 1UR-Fe. I havent looked closely enough at the engine to know if its actually reading a sensor directly or inferring the MAP based on calculated engine load. I would think the same PID would be available on the 3UR.

Edit: I just went and looked and I am 95% sure that my 1UR has an actual MAP sensor mounted on the front of the manifold.

Great news! Although it took a few weeks longer than expected, single and dual iDash Stealth Pods are now in stock! The strong, high-quality, OE-looking mounts can be painted to match your factory A-pillar or left black. This is your excuse to finally add an iDash or two to your Tundra. It's the most versatile and powerful engine evaluation and diagnostics tool on the market, out-featuring Scan Gauge and all Amazon OBD scanners. You'll have all the important pressures, temps, speeds, and more right in your sight-line while not taking up any valuable windshield area. If you're looking to know more about your twin-turbo engine, this is the ultimate solution. Here's more about the iDash. Here's more about the iDash Stealth Pod mount.
