Well, that's a little farther this time but I'm down. So I need to regear, locker, and bumpers by the end of February. Grill said she wanted to come this time after seeing how much fun it was so I should be +1. I just don't have any room for my stuff in the truck anymore. The consequences of my actions are catching up to me....

If I put my grill in my truck I wouldn't have room for camping gear either, but big grills need love too.

Parker is a pretty neat location. When I lived in SoCal I worked with a guy that had a house on the river just north of the Bluewater Casino. We went out there frequently to ride dirt bikes and I even romped on my old pre runner tacoma out there a few times. Feb is a really nice time of year for this spot, weather should be great! The river will be cold so don't plan on swimming. There's also limited public access to the river, it's mostly private in that area. There's literally hundreds of miles of trails to explore and, as noted, you can run the Parker 425 race course if you want to see how fast you can break your truck.

The town of Parker has all the amenities you could need, including repair shops if you get in a jamb. Off roading is huge out there. The community is basically built around that and river activities.

What's the plan for a campsite?

ETA: Looks like there will be a race on 2/24, just prior to the Tundras get together. The race course will be thoroughly torn up from the trophy trucks so folks can get a real taste of what those courses look like if they've never seen or driven one.

We’ll be in what’s commonly called The Shea Road Spectator Area.

This google maps link is close, but not the exact spot. Within a half mile or so of this location.

    https://maps.app.goo.gl/38u6tRbHUWiR9MZ66?g_st=ic

I could imagine a Tundras to Cabo, or Loreto, or even Ensenada. But I’m not sure about Tundras to Juarez. Mostly down to personal experience - anything good to do in Juarez?

Camp will be by the Shea road spectator area.

Yeah, we worked with BLM and scheduled around the 425 in order to avoid land closures. Was gonna schedule it for the weekend of the Super Bowl, but everyone lost their minds when I posted those dates a while back. Haha!

But Desert Bar will be open! Might see if we can talk them into opening on Thursday for us if we can get enough people committed to make it worth them opening the bar just for us.

We've got this deal running through the end of the year. $1850 for a Tundra. Shop is in California, but there is a core/ship in old diffs option available.

Wish I could make it, but I'm official "out" for 2024. Daughter's 21st birthday is the exact same time, and wife and I have been asked to come along on her birthday trip.

I was angling for that, but got shut down. Her good friend is the one scheduling the trip, and I've got no say in where or when.

We went and checked it out a couple weekends ago and it was pretty awesome. Good mix of wide open go fast desert, and tight technical rocky trails. Lots of shale and some cool mines to walk into.

good stuff in Parker! Put on your Trail Leader shirt.

we have a dedicated camp area for the event. You’re welcome to camp elsewhere, but we have an entire section of the area set aside.

I don't make the rules, but those first gen guys wont even let you hang out with them if you make a joke about making a joke about having a 5.7, I doubt they'd let a jeep driver participate.
