2018 Tundra rear bumper damage.

Hey,
2018 Tundra has paint damage and scratches to rear passenger side bumper. Saw that bumpershelz has part that fits over existing bumper. excuse my ignorance but won't new part stick out if it is put on existing bumper? Thanks for your help.

 

Hard to answer without pictures. If your stock bumper doesn't have a flat surface the shell wont stick.

Sounds like OP has painted bumper and is asking can put over a painted bumper.

 

If they are like the front caps they would attach with 3M automotive tape and possibly with bolts. From using this tape with other products and bumpershellz painted or unpainted makes no difference. Surface just needs to be clean and smooth. Prep with an adhesion promoter and stick the part on.

As others have mentioned, it sounds like you have a painted bumper. This might be part of the problem. Can you please send photos of your current bumper?

 

Why not just buy the painted part from Sparks?

 

More expensive and not as easy to install.
