Upgraded from an 2017 Tacoma to a used 2021 Tundra TRD Pro - first impressions have been awesome, the V8 is incredible, she is sexy and the interior is a massive upgrade. Overall I love this truck so far..

I found it used with under 30K miles and the only real problem I have it right now is the last owner must have been a smoker, there is a very noticeable cigarette smell when you first get in. (The dealership I bought it from did a good job of covering up the smell when I test drove it.. :annoyed:) Anyway I have an appt Tuesday with a detail guy that is confident he can get rid of it.. fingers crossed...

Also, the passenger side Tundra emblem was removed for some reason and I want to re-install it. Anyone have experience with this? I'm guessing just buy some double sided 3M tape?

I want to add a subtle lift and run 295/70/18. With my limited research, I think I want to use the Westcott preload collar lift kit in the front w/ the Coach Builder Shackle Kit in the back. Pretty much copying this video:

Please let me know what you guys think and I am open to any recommendations, Cheers!!

My tundra was like that too, I kept it in a garage with windows down for about a year, replaced the cabin filter with carbon one from Toyota and smell got away. Congrats!

Yeah, don't be too upset, it will go away eventually, and it's just a character of the truck if anything!

Run an Ozone generator in the truck. It will eliminate the smell. Probably what the detailer is going to do

I bought a little green heat pro from Bisell to clean a RAV4 the dealership spilled an oil based air freshener in that left an overpowering odor throughout the vehicle. I almost pulled the seats and carpet this summer when I didn’t think I was making progress.

I replaced the cabin air filter, floor mats, cleaned all hard surfaces inside, and sprayed a/c vent cleaner through the a/c intake as well. It took a few months and several cleanings, but the smell is now (almost completely) gone.

Hopefully your detail guy can take care of it.
