Perfect camper shell. If that was closer, I would buy the whole truck and swap the whole cab and bed onto my frame. That truck's gotta sunroof.

I love a sunroof. Never had a leak though.

Same here. I've had two vehicles with a sunroof and loved it on each one.

Yeah, I'm really hoping I can manage to find slider windoors for the cap I'm picking up. We shall see.

Are those the windows that both pop out, and slide? Looks great. Really sad about the frame.

That’s like my exact camper shell—brand, color and everything, even down to the cracked (totally shite) interior light. LED rope lights or gtfo.

Will see if it pans out in person. I looked at another shell recently on FBM that the owner said was in "excellent shape". Got there, and there was a 7" crack right at the edge of the seal on the front window. "Uhhh... oh, wierd, I didn't know that was there. Must've happened when it slid down while I had it propped against the garage last year! I'll knock $50 off!" (And it still would've been priced too high)

Pics make it look really good. Fingers crossed. I'd feel bad repainting it if the clearcoat is intact on the roof. Not sure why he has it slid 2" back. My only concern, after chatting w/FGV, is the flared base rubbing my paint.

Nice DC shell in Cleveland TN. Waaaaaaay overpriced, but decked to the nines. Guess I'ma hafta look into rails to install, now I'm thinking about it. It's the one thing that one I'm looking at doesn't have but I'd like.

I’d probably just farm it out but I think if you like it up right it’s not too hard. And my Tundra shell already leaks anyway. I do have some new windoor gasket on order.

Rack Attack did my ‘16. They are more important for that guy because the bed is so tiny. Not sure I’d ever bring the roof box on the Tundra. But 16’ lumber up high could be nice. For now I just open the rear slider when I buy 17’ trim.

I guess so? Now I’m left wondering what rails refer to in this other context?

Ahh, indeed. Not my thing. I definitely miss alcohol. Dry since 9/14. Curious how the liver enzymes look now.

but, yeah, shell rails are cool. Just that these fiberglass shells don’t hold a ton of weight.

All you double cab folks, nice Leed mid-rise in black. Overpriced, but looks like it's in awesome shape and newer, in Augusta GA just east of me.

Well damn. No more than I buy my shell for $400, this one pops up a couple miles from where I bought my truck, this one for $425, but with roof rails, which I wanted

At least it's not white, I'd feel really dumb.

Confirmed with H&H, our intown Leer distributor: Leer still makes windoors, potentially windoor sliders, for this 100R. Was told the price tag is $350/window for windoors, but he wasn't clear if that was just a straight windoor, or the windoor slider.

Found a cap place up in Marietta that supposedly refinishes for $400. And here we are: I could've bought brand new for $2,400 (w/o windoors though I'm sure). At the end of this, if I go through with it, I suspect I'll be out about $1,600 total. Was it worth it? Only time will tell.

has anyone had trouble with their 'Rotary latches' on the Snugtop. Mine comes loose while I drive (still locked but not tight). The latch has 2 locking locations. I have been playing with the 10mm nut and the 12mm nut but no luck, I get it to lock all the way close but any little pressure makes it come loose. Thinking of buying new latches. Has anyone had any luck replacing them with these Amazon ones?

Are you sure about that? I think they cost quite a bit more than that now during this era of greedflation.

That's what I was quoted for either brand-new-base-model low-rise cap with full manuf'ers warranty, OR, for $200-500 more, I could get a used, paint-matched, nicely-optioned one with no warranty.

There's a place here in town that supposedly paints for $400 and will custom build you a fiberglass lid for $899, but I dunno how old their website is, it looks like it was build in the 1990s.
