All 2023 Pickup trucks are marketed as everyday family daily drivers now. I know of a number of young families that have baby seats in the back of theirs.
There are posts on this forum asking if an adult can sit in the middle of the back seat with two baby seats in place.
So this is very disappointing and for the Tundra being the newest complete re-design even more so.
With that when my kids were in baby seats we never carried them in the pickup truck. It was not practical even though it had a huge back seat area. We had a large SUV or Minivan designed for people not a crew going to a job site.

If you read the studies the Tundra acfually did fairly well, and the belt force injuries were less likely in the Tundra from others tested. A good rating under the new standards is decent.

If you read my post I focused on young families with babyseats.

Working with a double cab, unless I run into a little man from the circus there's no chance a normal adult fits in the back, pure storage for gear at this point. Crap ratings though still, wonder how the 2500s stack up? That square GMC had a lusty stance, and enormous price tag LOL :(

I understood your reference, but this latest rating does not affect babies or young children secured in child safety seats.

The tundra failed on kinematics and was marginal due to seat belt position and posture.

Why do so many 2nd Gen owners troll the 3rd Gen forum, and they seem to want the 3rd Gen to fail? It seems odd to me. I'm a loyal 30 year Toyota customer who wants to see all their models succeed, not just the model I currently own.

A 6ft adult fits fine in the back of the double cab with the front seat in the middle position. Not as much legroom as a crew cab but not a like a can of sardines either.

That's why the people I really don't like always have to ride in the back.

my dealership hasn't done any recalls on my truck.

what does that have to do with crash test results anyways, there are tons of recalls over the years for the 2/2.5 gen, who cares, I had them on my older tundras as well, I have owned 5, toyota makes great trucks, including the new one.

We don't want it to fail. We want it to IMPROVE. Issue is that Toyota is not exactly know for super quick changes to their trucks, although they DO have a good track record with respect to safety issues.
