Built a cloud at a different bank. Security is tight, compartmentalization of duties, as well as working in teams on high profile things is a reality.

And he could be the other type of data center engineer. You might surprised the amount of plumbing, cooling, and electricity in those places!

Very true! The title DCE covers a lot of different jobs. I'm fixing and managing hardware, servers, switches, and the like. And yes, it's hands down the most secure data center I've ever been into! Everything down on the DC floor is done in pairs of two people, no matter how simple the job is.

Have a friend that wired an ICloud Center and they would fire people on the spot if prints or any paperwork was left open at a desk or wherever. He said they had people watching people watching people!!!! It was the weirdest thing he had seen in a long time. Very strict secure place coming and going!!! That was about the most he ever talked about that place for fear he would get run off and he was one of the lead electrical guys!!:)

Anywhos back on track,,, making much headway! Outstanding!:)

Just saying my mortgage and CC is through them, so help a brother out?

Congrats. As much as it's nice to have a "vacation" for a bit, it feels good to be working too...well, sometimes.

During Covid, I was off work for eight months. I was searching for a new job, but turning down those who didn’t feel right. I wasn’t in a huge hurry to get back to it, so I didn’t end up back in a long toxic work environment. Those eight months I was “working” as searching for a good fit is a job in itself. It did feel great being able to get stuff done around the house and have a break for the first time in almost a couple of decades. That being said, when I went back to work, it also felt great.

I'm back to work for almost a year now after being off for 3 months. I do miss being able to be Mr. Mom and help my wife out. I've thought about finding something else part time to fill the void when the kids are at school, but being able to feel like I'm contributing more than just financially, which she is the bread winner now, was refreshing.

Have to reuse the oem UCA bolts and they had a tiny amount of rust on them. Cleaned with wire wheel and sprayed down with rust converter

Hopefully I'm setting this correctly. Going to have to reread it a few times. I'm only going for 1"-ish lift over stock. But I set the adjustable UCA to position D for +2° additional caster as recommended for the 2-3" lifts. Assuming this will push the tire further forward for additional clearance of the body mount? On the right in bold it talks more about doing that.

Gonna mock up the LCA's next, haven't tightened anything down.

Adding the suspension parts ordered. Thanks @memario1214 for the deal and the quick turnaround on parts!
    • Eibach Front Pro 2.0 Coilovers
    • Eibach Pro-Alignment Adjustable Upper control Arms
    • Eibach Rear Pro Sport Shocks
    • Eibach Rear Load Leveling Spring System
    • SuperPro Lower Control Arms
    • SPC Rear Lower Trailing Arms
    • Nolathane Red 24mm HD RearSway Bar
    • Nolathane Red 30mm HD Front SwayBar
    + $3400

I'm very close to my project budget of $20-25k. Holding off on anymore parts until after I get the Salvaged title converted to Rebuilt and registered for the road. Close to $17.5k now and I still need to do a Rear bumper and paint the whole vehicle.

Taking suggestions on paint color/style, and graphics(?)!

After that, its either the Elate 2300 supercharger, or the new Whipple kit that XAT is working on. ETA for the Whipple to market is 6 months. Elate s/c is $7200 shipped. Whipple is unknown

Awsome progress, congrats on the job.

I did a midnight shift stint at a Wells Fargo DC, hand print door access, no one on the server floor without a mirror & guard, not such good times.

Appreciate the support, and happy to help with the project! Keeping a close eye on this one.

As for paint color... I pick a forest green. Almost like the Cypress color that you can get on a Sienna.

Old OEM vs New Nolathane 30mm front sway bar. Thought end links came with it but guess not. Originals are beyond shot so I'll need to order some new ones.

Prepping radiator support crossmember for POR15. Already wire wheeled the loose stuff off.

Also cleaned and sprayed rust converter on the front sway bar bushing mounts. And have been spraying the rust converter into open frame holes where possible. Better than nothing I guess :notsure:

I could do that, I may do that! Inflatable paint tents aren't that much. I think my friend has a spray gun. How hard could it be? Lol

Most difficult might be color match? I wouldn't put it past Toyota to mess with the paint to make it just different from street market product....

But I do think I've got an idea for the GX now.

    TRD GX

TRD wheels, paint color, engine skid plate, and big brake kit. All of those are TRD branded. May even slap on a TRD Pro badge. Then remove all other Lexus/GX decals
