I am thinking of retiring my tri fold tonneau by roll up type tonneau. I saw a review stating after a year or two, velcro on the sides get weak/fail and flap by strong side winds. How strong is that velcro? Any insight will be much appreciated.

As with any Velcro it depends on how often you open & close it as they tend to wear out. I have a DIY bed slide so I rarely open mine and it’s still holding strong for a few years now.

Truxedo cover on my 2016 still holding up!! Mostly stays closed, but it does get rolled up probably once or twice a month.
