Sucks the S1 are as expensive as the S2.
Maybe I should just use S2’s

 

Same output though supposedly. S2’s would probably look pretty normal up against an XL series light

 

I was looking at a set of squadron pros for a good price for ditches…even though I’ve already got a pair of squadron sports in my possession

 

Depends on your mounting options…s1s can index the lenses in any orientation.

also. Think s1 as 1 module of a onx/xl light bar. Vs s2 being 2 modules of s8/squadrons.

 

I have both and prefer the S1.

 

True if you’re buying new. S2’s are a lot easier to find and haggle tho. If I were to go a S2 route I’d probably invert the S2’s on a Rago extension bracket and then slide the squadron/XLs over and tuck it up close on the topside. Make it look as ungoofy as possible.

According to hotshot they’re both in the lightweight class weighing in at .5lb. Gotta prevent that light bounce

I’m cheap, picked up some used S2’s first and gave it a try. Nope. The single pod looks so clean - like it belongs there. My thoughts with the S2 was probably use a BD Squadron instead so the lens/bezel could be clocked correctly, but aesthetically….
