    Just installed new 35x12.5R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on new Icon Six speed Wheels (17x8.5" 25mm offset) on 8/30/17. This will be the new home for all tire feedback from me on these tires. I will keep updated on tire wear, performance in different conditions and pictures.

    My Performance Rating
    ​
    Looks: 10/10 - Not sure what else you can do to make a tire look any better. Very aggressive looking. Between an AT and MT as far as tread pattern.

    Quietness: 9/10     - So quite on the roads upon the first few days of driving. 10/12/17: Haven’t had a change in noise in over a month of driving. Very quiet for how aggressive they are.

    Comfort: 8/10     - Little stiffer than the D rated Duratracs I had on before but to be expected. Ride straight, true and balanced upon the first few days of driving.

    Tread Wear: 8/10 -     Was expecting 35-40k, got a little more than that.

    Gas Mileage: 8/10     - Heavier and slightly larger diameter than the Duratracs I had before so i expect the gas mileage to either stay the same or go down a hair.

    Rain: 9/10 -     Great in the rain and wet surfaces. No slipping at all. No hydroplaning. Not much more you can improve them for wet conditions.

    Snow: 9/10 -

    Dry Dirt: 8/10 -

    Mud: 8/10 -

    Rocks: 9/10 -     ​

    you going to take them off road or mostly street driving??? I've been considering these tires, but they're 10 lbs heavier than my ko2. Not sure if there is any benefit for the extra weight

    Hard to say because i wore them down so far they were driving me nuts. When they were new compared to these new i would say very similar.
    I can feel the weight difference though. I increase tire weight and wheel weight. The RW wheels are surprisingly extremely light.

    @757TUNDRA, I'm looking at doing the exact same tire. Did you switch from the stock 275/65's? And if so did you see a noticeable drop in fuel mileage?

    Those look great. I'm running terra grapples 35x12.5. I ran terras on a 05 f150 for 5 years and 50k miles and again on a 08 dc tundra for 5 years and 30k with plenty of tread at trade in. If they rate the same wear should last you a good long time.

    I had the Trail Grapplers on a FJ as well. Loved them so much I put them on the Tundra. I bet these are just a bit quieter though.

    @duece292 I did switch from the stock Michelins to these in 275/70/18. This is obviously a much heavier tire and you can feel the difference initially, but you get used to it very quickly. My mpg's only dropped by 1-1.5. Small price to pay for a killer tire. I've still averaged over 18 on a couple of highway trips at 65mph.

    @757TUNDRA, thanks man! I'm sold on the Ridge Grapplers and will be switching from 275/65/18 Firestones to the 275/70/18 RG's. I'll be going up 18 lbs and was curious how that would affect mileage. 1 to 1.5 mpg's I can definitely live with. Thanks again!
