    Hello everyone,

If anyone's replaced their dash speakers, I'd love to hear what they bought and if they found a plug and play wire harness.

I've replaced all 4 door speakers. Boy are those factory speakers cheap junk!

    Thanks!
    Don

Infinity Primus 6.5". I bought from Crutchfield, and they included the mounting brackets for free. The wire harnesses, however, didn't mate up, so I had to splice the wires.

The base speakers are garbage. Even the JBL upgrade isn’t good. I swapped out my dash speakers with a set of mid range as apposed to tweeters and added a Rockford Fosgate sub woofer under the rear seat. New door speakers too. Opted for JL all around and am beyond impressed. I was able to get a great deal on the marine line from JL as sales of marine audio are currently in the toilet. Wasn’t cheap but I saved about 30%

Why didn't you use 6x9" speakers in the front doors? Seems like you're missing out on some extra bass. Also, what mounting brackets did you use? Are the factory speakers an odd size thus requiring adapters?

Following. I didn't realize replacing speakers alone would be much help!

Did you just buy as a 2021 tundra from crutchfield to get the brackets? I ask since if you enter 2022 they show nothing listed. Cheers.

    I didn't go 6"x9" because I wasn't sure they'd fit when I made the purchase.

I spoke with a Crutchfield rep, who suggested the Infinty's and said they would send brackets and wire harnesses for free. They didn't guarantee they'd mate up since they don't have data on the new gen Tundra. The brackets worked, the wire harnesses didn't.

The brackets are important because without enough spacing, the window glass may hit the speaker magnet when rolled down.
