Platinum with color matched grill?

Does anyone have a picture of a Platinum with a color matched grill surround? It looks great on the other trims but wondering how it would look with the Platinum grill.

 

Whoops, thank you! I saw some threads but nothing on the Platinum. The color match looks better in the other trim levels imo.

 

If anything I’d do just the mustache and leave the fog light bezel alone but the smoked chrome doesn’t look bad at all

Agreed on the bezel, may I also recommend getting the chin done as well,I like how it completes the grill and separates the two,well on lighter colored trucks...
I know it's not a Platinum grill but the trimmings are the same.

 

that and it hides the internals better for a more finished higher end look

Need a black Toyota logo though, it’s huge , I got an overlay

 

Changed mine to a OR Grille, and used Chromestoppers surround.

 

I know it's not my truck and don't mean to piss you off but I like the Platinum grill better, its more iconic a classic staple. To me the other one is nice and all but just seems trendy.

 

That’s why I went with OR grille instead, I’m just not a chrome guy, if I could find the Toyota emblem in black and Blue I would have changed that also. From owning a motorcycle I have a hatred of Chrome. Not going to piss me off, folks have opinions and that is fine with me.

 

Don't ever use the search function, it never works and when it does, it's outdated information and doesn't serve you well. It also defeats the purpose of this forum.

 

Good because that isn't my intent, yeah I to am not a fan of the over board chrome thing, just like everything eles in this world, moderation is key.
I felt that almost every accent on this truck was chrome or black plastic so I figured for the grill just leave it as is and paint the chin to isolate the grill and of course blackout the rest.

 

I still like plat color matched…

 

personally on the blueprint color for the plat, the dark chrome doesnt really stand out for us. we really dont notice it at all so for us its no point in color matching it. depending on angle its bright or dull.

 

I agreed until saw a blueprint with it color matched. Looks great.

I used to want to change the grille on the plat to the OR or Pro. But once the mustache is color matched it all goes together really well. I like the capstone grille too.

 

ya, I was really pleased with the platinum grill once the surround is color matched, I actually like it much better than the other inserts, looks more high end

 

How about a pic of that color matched rear spoiler?

Thinking doing the same for MBM Plat.

Nope, it's all good, I like it. I de-chromed my 22 Limited with painted parts through local painter, now I think I'll do the same to the Plat this spring. Looks good!!!

 

Literally every trim looks better with a color-matched mustache. I abhor Toyota's use of chrome.

 

hey, new here and to tundra. I love your grill/mustaches. I have the 2024 platinum in wind chill white. I want to do the grill black. I’ve taken to a spot that dose wraps and painting. They said they can’t do either of them on the grill due to the material of the grill. Wondering how you did yours?

you order a new base model black one that come unpainted and the shop can then color match that for you right there since its not chrome and can be painted. Parts are cheap

the flares and rear spoiler can be repainted as is.

Order a painted one as mentioned above. No wrap will match wind chill pearl. And your shop steered your right. You do not want to paint the smoked chrome. I swapped my grill and mustaches on my wind chill pearl. Ordered mine from sparks parts before their shipping went crazy. Paintedoem is who I would look at now.

check the parts thread on this forum for part #'s if having painted on your own.

Also looked on that site you mention and they don’t have the grill yet to buy. Just bumpers and other things. No front grill yet. But I didn reach out and ask if they had or is coming down the pipeline.

 

you can order it right online and pick em up local toyota dealer, then take them over to your local body shop you like.
