22 SR5 OEM wheels did not fit 23 SR . HANDS ARE IN THE AIR!

I was upgrading my SR steel wheels to some nice 22 pulloffs I found on FB. Did something change spec wise in the years? I was assuming 6 lug , gen 3 was GTG. The wheel was going to rub the brake calipers. It didn't seem to have the depth to clear. I know they came off a new 22.

Did anyone have issues with OEMs?

Here is what I was trying to put on :

 

I put on rims from a 22 platinum on my 23 SR and they fit without any problems

 

Dude delivered in his gen 3 sr5. Even had a grill for sale from a gen 3. If he scammed me, what do you think they came off of?

 

Look 100% like my 2022 SR5 TRD OR rims I have on my 2023 SR5. Take a pic if the back of the rims and post. The specs are in the casting. 6x139.7 and the other number is the offset. Made in Canada and Mexico. They should fit fine.

 

I would bet the above. Tacoma wheels for the win.

 

The machined portion of these is pointy. The pic in OP is not. Also there is.machined near the lugnuts on the Tundra wheels

Gotta agree with ^^^^ that you may have been taken by a Taco if they don't fit.

 

was it these exact wheels? Those are Tundra wheels. Which ones did you get?

Should be additional info in the fin that shows 6x139.7 and I think the offset is 60.. if you don't find/see that it does seem like you got taken. Take them back and let him put them on his truck to prove they fit! He won't do it if he knows they won't.

 

A 7.5 though with a 60 offset?

I know the 2.5gen are 18x8 +60. Losing half an inch would be significant

The 7.5 is the width of the rims not offset

 

Right. But that half inch still applies as offset is based on center of wheel

What part of the wheel will rub the calipers? The back side of the face?

something seems off about the inside of the wheel compared to these 22 take offs.

Check the wheel and tire bst thread and you will see pics of the Tundra trd OR rims - hard to say but then pic you posted does look different in the web.

True - all I can state is my oem 2022 Tundra TRD OR rims show 6x139.7 with 60 for offset cast into the back side of each rim in one of the fins, and they are 18" rims.

 

Those wheels should fit your truck. I would try a test fit again.

 

Sure look like they are the proper ones? Wtf. Did you put one on a front hub and see that it rubs or clears by turning it?
