Looking for sliders for a 3rd Gen what options are out there?

I know CBI has two options:

Toyota Tundra Overland Rock Sliders 2022-2023 | CBI Offroad (cbioffroadfab.com)
3rd Gen Toyota Tundra Rock Sliders | CBI Offroad (cbioffroadfab.com)

RCI has one with or without fill plates:

Rock Sliders | 22-Present Tundra - RCI Off Road (rcimetalworks.com)

    White Knuckle (only fits CM5.5'):

    https://white-knuckleoffroad.com/product/toyota-tundra-2022-newer-rock-sliders/

    C4 Fabrication (only fits CM5.5'):

    https://c4fabrication.com/products/...XQmbj0SoG8wogO87HFXVBP5FA6ESc2GBoCPZUQAvD_BwE

Expedition One Rocker Guards (only fits CM5.5'):

    Wescott Designs (only fits CM5.5'):

Please share any other options you know of and your opinions/experience of these or others.
    Also pics are always fun.

Thanks, both of those only offer fitment for CM5.5' so other builds are out of luck.

RCI's freight seems unusually high, I'm on the opposite side of the state from them and their website is quoting almost $400 for FedEx.

I've installed CBI and White-Knuckle stuff in the past and been very happy in both cases.

might be able to find someone who lives on the front range and skis to meet you in the middle if you go RCI

    Lots of stuff!
I made my own to get the added length, to match my stretched truck, but decided to lean more towards the light duty as a step to get into the truck. I have already lowered my payload with my bed cover and rack and skid plates. I didn't want to loose another 100 lbs to slider steps. The ones I made come in around 20 lbs.

Mine give me the extra step to reach into the bed from the front sides. I also made them out of stainless steel tubing with steel brackets. I wouldn't crash them into a boulder but they are good for my purpose. I can't see rock crawling as a future activity for my Long Long Tundra.

There are lots to choose from as far as sliders go but they don't go past the cab which looks fine for shorter bed trucks.

I think the challenge is where to connect the slider where the frame dips down. I made a support that is bolted to the trailing arm mount and picks up the extra distance in the board. Like I said, I wouldn't slide over rocks with these but they are nice a stiff to stand on.

Sounds cool, got any pictures of your setup? I don’t have the skills personally.

It looks like my options are limited to CBI and RCI for the longer bed. Anyone have any opinions on which one between the two?

You might be able to modify a set and add the extra foot to fill the gap. That was one of my ideas in my search.

The issues I had with this were:
    1) spending a lot on the crewmax sliders and then modifying them.
    2) finding an attachment point to support the rear added section.
    3) fixing the finish so they don't start rusting in 6 months.
    4) would they be able to support sliding over rocks?
    5) added weight was coming off my payload.

The ones I have now did a good job of checking these points.
powder coated stainless steel light weight tubing with a stiffener for the rear section. I get to stand on them to reach inside the front of the bed too.

The things I don't get are high price and sliding over rocks.

I agree the juice isn't worth the squeeze to modify any made for the short bed. Luckily the two I mentioned are available ready to go. Although the installation looks fiddley for sure.

I have the CBI's on my double cab. When I installed them they sent incorrect/incomplete hardware and their only "instructions" was for the crew cab which had different hardware requirements. I had to relocate a ground and disconnect a fuel line bracket from my frame.

If I was ordering today I would go with the RCI as they actually provide detailed instructions and they provided me with the required hardware with my skid plates. Judging by how they connect they wouldn't require me to move factory installed components.

Based on what I saw in the install for the RCI you have to remove some grounds and brackets to install, but then they can go back in the same place once the sliders are in place. The instructions was one of my biggest concerns at this point so good point. I have had great experiences with CBI stuff in the past though.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
Waiting on a better sale than 15% on the CBI. Local shops make slider kits for like $600 but they are weld on and I am not willing to do that to a brand new truck but also not willing to pay 2x+ the price for bolt on.

I'd buy them at 15% off for sure their shipping seems crazy though. The mounting system is pretty involved I bet that is where a lot of the price is coming from.

Contacted RCI about this and they got a custom quote for my commercial address and got the shipping reduced by $140, likely going to go this route now.

RCI sliders showed up today. They look good, and shipped way before the projected lead time I was given before purchasing. Install looks like it’s going to be a a bit of a pain but will be well worth it long term. IMG_8805.jpg

    Here’s the installed photos.

It went well, but there is one missing step in the instructions. The front support bracket for the 32gal tank has to be removed and the locating tab either flattened or removed to reinstall it on the bottom of the slider frame plate.

Also there was one frame plug next to the tank that I had to cut in half to get it out, that turned out not to be needed because that hole doesn’t get used by the sliders anyway. Wish I would have left it in. I’ll probably trim down another one and use some silicone to reinstall it to keep some mud and debris out of the frame rails.
