Very impressive list list of upgrades!

I have the 6.5ft bed and I'm debating a Lone Peak camper, or a Smart cap with my Roofnest Falcon mounted on top. My plan is a bed in the truck bed for one kid. A bed across the back seat for the youngest and me and the lady up in the tent.

I'm accommodating a family of 4 and a Dutch shepherd who prefers to sleep with the family.

How did you mount your RTT and are you happy with it over a drop in camper?

I’m guessing that you have the hybrid motor? Probably getting pretty good mileage?

I wish! It's not that kind of hybrid motor. Think Formula 1, not Prius. It engages the electric motor before the turbo hits giving you full steady torque from dead stop. It's incredibly powerful but not efficient. I get around 12MPG with 35's and the RTT/Capper combo.

RTT was installed on top of FrontRunner SmartCap Load Bars rated to hold up to 220lbs. Love the SmartCap. Seriously underrated company. It's built like a tank, looks great, and offers all the functionality you need.

Did you loose any height in the back after installing your SmartCap? I have a 2022 TRD Pro with the Westcott kit front and back, using stock rear springs. I lost about 1/2" of lift in the rear from the cap. Just wondering if the Icon springs prevented that. Also, did you go with the Icon lift springs (part# 51211) in the rear or the stock height springs? Thanks in advance.

Yes, I went with the Icon triple-rate 1.25" lift spring (0.75" on TRD Pro). I'd say it maintained the stock height because it was a 0.75" lift and then squatted back to the original height. That said, I am switching them out with the DOBINSONS 2.0″ LIFT REAR TOYOTA TUNDRA 2022+ (550-770LBS) springs to better handle the extra weight. The back floats around like a boat and squats a lot with any extra gear. I was also bottoming out a lot hitting some more difficult trails and desert. I have about 600lbs unloaded in the back, you may not have the same issue as me if you only have the cap.

Did you upgrade your stock Pro (red) upper control arms or keep them? If you kept them, were you able to get your alignment into spec with your lift?

I went with JBA arms for max caster. Honestly the Red TRD Pro UCAs are really nice and do provide more caster than stock. If you’re not lifting more than an inch or two, I wouldn’t upgrade.

Any issues with your JBA arms? Not a lot of info on this forum on how UCA’s are holding up in terms of noise and maintenance. I had total chaos on my last two trucks and eventually the creaking noises caught up with me and it drove me crazy. Want to avoid that.

All good so far, I love them. They’re dead quiet. I’d avoid uniball uca’s unless I drove an actual race truck. They require too much maintenance. My JBA’s have lube injection ports and they recommend a few pumps every oil change or 5000 miles. I did it the other day and it took me maybe 10 minutes, including cleaning the arms. I think Icon has a similar UCA that’s lower maintenance as well.

Do you have a side shot pic showing how much poke those +12's have? Really like those wheels.

They're perfect IMO. They poke about 1". I don't have any great side-shots.
