For those of you that opted for the "Heads Up Display" on your Tundra, how do you like it? Worth the $$$? I drove my sister's Mercedes with it and I found it a little distracting as it was in my line of sight a little too much. I'm about to order a '24 next week and still deciding on a few options I want.

I can live without it. it was part of a bundle when I bought but I would not shell out any extra $$ for it. Put on a pair of sunglasses and it's more less useless.

Don't buy one without AVS. You can thank me later

It gives me a headache. I've used it for about all of 2 minutes. Turned it off and never back on again.

Can’t speak directly to the Tundra HUD, but we have a HUD on our 2015 Chevrolet SS and we both prefer it now. So my vote is buy a vehicle with HUD if you can.

Came with my package. I like it alot since my steering wheel tends to block my tach read out . BUT would definitely NOT buy it .

I had a raster HUD in my F-15 back in the day. Made flying night low levels a lot safer. Never mind me…

YES. I have not received my 1794 yet, but I specifically shopped for one with the HUD. We have it on my wife's '21 BMW 5 series and I would not purchase a new vehicle without it. For key data especially nav and cruise info, it is very helpful to just move your eyes a little down to get the info instead of across the dash to find what you want. At night, it is very helpful and allows you to keep your eyes focused on the road. For me, the HUD provides a good safety benefit. And for only $600 I think it is a good value. You can study the owners manual to read about the features and its position on the windshield can be moved. Note, it works on polarizing light so if you want to wear sunglasses in the daylight, only non-polarizing sunglasses will allow you to see the HUD. Also note just to be correct, it is "Head Up" and not heads up.

Not a must have - nor would it sway me either way on a vehicle I was interested in, but I do use it and like it.

Absolutely enjoy having it,I do noticed when wearing different polarized sunglasses it will fade out.
Also note that when it's dark out if you find it to distracting you can dim it down, adjust it left, right up and down.

I have it in my Audi, like it, but it's not a showstopper. I opted for the TRD OR over it on my 1794. TRD OR was more important to me.

I always found HUD to be distracting. I don't think I would go out of my way to option it since I have always turned it off anyways.

I’ve got these on a Mini 14 and believe it or not a built .22 cal pellet rifle. Very quick acquisition with both eyes open…. Not putting one on any handgun however, despite the current trend

works great at night, but during the day, the polarized sunglasses negate any benefit.

so most of the time i dont even notice it anymore during the day or night now

It's one of those things that cool to have I guess, but def wouldn't spend any extra money on it. I have it in my M4 and like many others have said, a pair of polarized sunglasses and they are nonexistent. The only time I really "rely" on it or find it useful is when doing some pulls in Mexico, it allows me to keep my eye more on the road without having to glance all the way down. But for a truck, this and a lot of other "luxury features" is baffling to me that they are even an option. Just my .02:cheers:

My biggest complaint is I can't figure out why it displays what it does, when it does. Sometimes it shows me the song that is playing through CarPlay. Sometimes it shows me the navigation. Sometimes it doesn't show me either of those things. Have no idea why.

Had it on a GMC I test drove. Wish my Tundra had it - would pay extra to have it.

I'm in the camp of I didn't want it, but it came with a package so I got it. After having it for ~6 months I find myself rarely looking at the gauge cluster anymore.
