Hey all, the cat is pretty much out the bag and I figure to go ahead and document my build progress here. I picked up this 2nd gen LTD last November and have been slowly acquiring parts for it for my LT build. I had the front components powder coated to "T-Demand" orange to match my VIP Lexus build (LS430). Since we have IRS it's a bit more tricky and will have to figure out the rear while I build my fronts up.

I have nearly everything for the front suspension:
    Camburg LT kit
    Extended axles
    King shocks

Right when I wanted to throw everything on, I had a change of heart and now want to go Total Chaos LT. The brand new King setup I have won't work perfectly with the TC setup so I'm forced to sell all as a whole lol. So if anyone is looking to go LT for their Tundra or Sequoia, shoot me a DM.

The Sequndra conversion took a lot of research and has costed a lot more than I thought, but it came out great thanks to the guys at SEA Works Collision in Rancho Cordova, CA. I purchased all OEM Toyota parts for this conversion. The only thing that's not OEM was the hood scoop, and I saved about $400 purchasing the rep off eBay which had the same exact fit. There were a few trial and error parts that we ended up not using. The fiberglass fenders from Advanced Fiberglass look great, but needed a ton of work to fit. The fitment isn't 100% but it is probably as good as it'll get with fiberglass and aftermarket Alpharex headlights. The C4 hybrid bumper was powder coated as well and has been solid.

Here's some pics of the progress:

Well, this could get interesting. Do you plan to take this to the desert or just building as a DD?

Still trying to figure out what to do with the rears. Also depends how crazy (or how expensive) I want to go lol. But yes I'll be working with King to tune for desert runs!

The Tundra front looks 1000% better for sure. People have pointed out on other conversions that the wheel arches don't match, but I feel it doesn't stand out as much on a black rig. Here's a before photo before the facelift:

Those were Alpharex headlights and yes they are a good improvement over stock, plus they don't look as dated as the cloudy stock ones!

Nice project! The rear suspension on these has potential, but you need to cut into the body to really take advantage. If interested, I have a photo of some fun stuff that I was working on a decade + back, the project was parted and sold off before completion.

Sort of, I was building an IRS Tundra using the Sequoia goodies. This is the only pic I seem to have, but it’s easy to see what was happening…

    Got some updates!

My Camburg and King suspension went to my friend and fellow teammate Avian from PURE 4x4 Las Vegas. Glad to know it is in good hands and that we'll now have two LT Sequoia builds going on (in the same crew too!).

I was able to grab all my Total Chaos and revised King setup in SoCal during the '23 Toy Drive at King.

As of 1/31, front and rear suspension, extended axles, and diff drop have been installed. Huge shout out to Dre and Bradford from @Br4rdgarage for helping weld and get everything on properly. Everything will be buttoned up within the next day and will be ready to be sent over to Stellar Built for fitment work for the 37's and alignment (body mount relocation, pinch weld, etc.).

Hoping to have her back on the road before Super Bowl!

Crazy past two days at Stellar Built! So apparently I had TRD brakes this whole time, so my new 17” wheels wouldn’t clear them. Apparently these brakes were a tow package option back in the day and requires 20” wheels to clear. I had to grab a brand new set of stock 2 piston brakes and get them swapped, essentially downgrading my brakes just to get the 17’s to clear. This is for sure temporary as I’ve noticed considerably less braking power which I’m sure the 37’s are also contributing to.

Aside from the brakes, Stellar Built went to work on my body mount relocation, knockin down the pinch weld, and alignment. Everything came out perfect and so far no rubbing anywhere!

Super happy with how she sits. At first I was wanting to add a 1” lift spacer to the rear but after more inspection it looks like the body is actually pretty level. I concluded that the 2” rise and 4” flare in the Advanced Fiberglass flares adds to the illusion it’s not leveled. Ultimately I’m going to let the suspension settle a bit more to figure out if adjustments need to be made.

I just got it back from Stellar but it’s going straight to a buddy’s for some sliders so I won’t get to drive it till next week. We plan on hitting up Tahoe with the family next weekend so I’m focused on getting her ready for the snow!

BTW I’m listing my TRD brakes (and rotors) on FB market if anyone is interested! Located in the Sacramento and Roseville area.

I have more content on my Instagram @PUREADDICT if you guys are interested.

I didn’t want to do it and wanted to keep a clean look. But for the sake of the wife and kiddos and whatever obstacles we may run into on the road I’m sure these will come in handy.

Shout out to Jimmy (Won Ton Taco Adventures) for the sliders!
