WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

I knew that Heritage Grill for $168 shipped was too good to be true from Lewis Toyota.

USPS just tried to deliver it saying I had to pay $122 because the sender only paid $8 for shipping. My only option was to pay the $122 or send it back. Now I get to deal with this mess. It took 2 weeks bouncing around USPS system as it is.

EDIT: Talked to the parts manager and he said he’d never heard of that before. Said once they get it back they will ship it UPS.

 

I just got the Borla Atak cat back exhaust installed.

 

How’s the sound?!?! I have been waiting to order one but haven’t seen anyone run this yet.

 

It sounds great. It’s definitely much louder than stock. It has a nice aggressive tone for sure. I’m working on uploading a could have clips on youtube.

it definitely didn’t sound like that in person. It just sounded more like popping in person. I’ll see if I can record a better video. I definitely won’t ever be hitting that rev limiter though lol.

That sounds pretty good dude. You said you got the atak one? I was thinking of going with their S-type since it’s supposed to be a bit quieter but this didn’t seem too loud.

 

I got mine with no issues at all. I’ve ordered from Lewis Toyota over a dozen times and have never had an issue

 

I got a set and found they amplified every paint line and crack in the road. I got the SES ones. It was too bouncy, just too harsh. I reached out to Timbrem and they sent me some softer bumpers (maybe the offroad ones) and these were better. I took them out for now but will try them again with the trailer. My truck has the TRD Offroad Suspension.

When I put mine in the first time, I had about 3/4" to an inch of gap between the bumper and the axle. Since then, I stuck a 1" rear spacer in so that should help with the fine road imperfections. The idea is similar to having airbags but less work to install and use.

Almost done with my entire front end. did the following:
Heritic Light bar/fogs
TRD marker lights & TRD Camo fog lamp bezel.
Dogs have been on for a couple days. Will post pics shortly, need to find a tap for the markers and finish up wiring for the light bar.
Good times for sure. With and daughter were the official flashlight holders….
Probably looked like Honey I shrunk the kids with a light strapped to my head.

 

Definitely interested to hear how the accessorides remote starter is!!! Seen a few posts here and there but nothing very informative.

 

Are the fogs able to be done without dropping the whole front?

Looks like the trim peice can come off and just swap em out... (know you threw a lightbar in there though)

yeah the fog lamp bezel comes off. Run your wiring, use a few zip times to make it look clean and your in business. Heretic provides a harness that uses the fog lamp harness as a remote. All you need is power and ground.

Installed the TRD skid plate. This thing is solid!

 

Where on the vehicle did you end up mounting the Airlift components? I found an are near the rear seat door, right side but not settled on it yet. Thx.

 

mine got held up in shipping for two weeks too but eventually showed up no issues.

I had to take everything apart, which is not hard. Used touchupdirect.com for the paint (primer, paint, clear). I did sand the silver area, but the paint is not holding up well after 2 years and 14K miles, lots of chips.

The actual mustache area, I had it wrapped with lunar rock vinyl wrap. That still looks amazing.

In short, what I have learned is that I would recommend a wrap instead of paint. the center horizontal piece will be hard to wrap though. That particular plastic is holding the paint better.

 

Your link says it’s for the older gen models. Does it work on the 22+?
