Before and after ATS HD springs with a half yard of gravel. Very noticeable while driving. I think that clear coat on the door is my next project now that I've got all the "essentials" taken care of.

It does. But, I thinks it's expecting a certain amount of revolutions at a certain speed, just like our trans speed sensors. But but, since your MPG measurement before and after was on the same size tire, it should be accurate. It'll just change the speedo reading to be more accurate.

That's what my awake to early thinking says. It's probably wrong.

I met up with @khooiii yesterday and grabbed the extra drivers seat he had. My plan is to pull the backs off and swap the bottom cushion and frame assembly. I started with the donor seat just to make sure that I don’t screw anything up with my seat.

He gave the seat away because the seat back left side bolster had given way. You can see it in the first pic. Here’s what I discovered, there was nothing wrong with the foam. The foam inside the seat back is secured with some fabric and a metal lock ring. I can’t get pictures because there was only enough space to fit my one hand. The fabric had torn allowing for the foam to be manipulated towards the back of the seat. Once I discovered this, I peeled enough of the cover back to access that area, manipulated it back into position and secured with a zip tie. Essentially, the seat back is now as good as it ever was.

I have the bench seat set up in mine and this is a captains chair. Now that I know all of these parts are good, I will save them in case one day I swap from the bench. Now on to separate my current seat and swap the base.

Installed and tested. Seatbelt light functions. I’m going to consider this a mod as my truck did not originally come with the adjustable base.

I went to the junkyard after work yesterday to eyeball the wiring on a 2000 they had. What an absolute fcking nightmare it would be to actually pull this off. The diagram is correct, BUT, those connections do tie into the main harness throughout the dash. The juice ain't worth the squeeze, this time.

So I just lopped off the connectors on the 2000 (+ a generous amount of wire) and will tie into my existing harness. Then the Metra adapters into the new stereo plugs.

Changed the oil in both the Tundra and the Corolla, and changed the fuel filter in the KTM. Everything is running happy.

Oil and filter. OEM filter and drain plug gasket. 5W-30 Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil @ 104,609 miles. Just a shade under 5000 miles since the last one was performed. I don't drive the truck unless I need it, but I always get the oil hot and up to temp when I do. The last oil change was about 14 months ago and I like to do it about once a year even if I don't have 5k on the oil. Checked underneath real well with a trouble light for any problems or leaks and nothing was noted so I guess I'm good for another year.

Those are neat. Definitely not the most popular, but I can appreciate the hell out of one every time I see it. I'm right behind you wanting a 60/62 series with a modern drivetrain...maybe some coilovers and bypasses to go with lol.

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
Did a little further investigation on my P0430, swapped O2s to make sure it wasn't a bad sensor, it's not. Still getting spikes when it should be flat like B1S2.
That spike near the end is a 15sec 2200ish rpm while parked. Think I'll take a close listen to them (fuel injectors) with my stethoscope tomorrow and see if one stands out.
If not then start swapping a new one in and out of each location and see if I get a better graph. Def not doing cats on this old beast, I may try an O2 spacer if the injectors are fine.
O2 flanges are just barley hanging in there as well

Flanges could definitely be causing your issues. Mine were pretty bad and after replacement I haven't seen a check engine light since, the shop just chopped the pipes off at the converters and welded in new.

That is so bitchen, it reminds me of the later Isuzu Trooper. Such a simple basic vehicle, I think it might have had a straight 6 in it? My friend had a Cressida with a straight six and it was such a good motor, but I'm a fan of the 300 six in old Ford trucks. But what do I know, I like BMW airheads and slant six Dodge Darts too.

So you had Catalyst System Efficiency code? Were your sensor 2 voltages High or Low? Did they do anything else besides replacing the exhaust from the cats back?
Asking because even if it was leaking around the flange it still would be reading the exhaust before it leaked out. :monocle:

I thought the downstream sensors averaged around 0.4-0.5 volts instead of zero? Weird.
