I run these on my F150. The ones i have are Bronco takeoffs but are probably the same tire.

They are not true 315’s. The tread patch is actually more like a 285 in width. The first picture is next to my 315/70 KO2’s and the second is tread to tread with my 285/70’s

    IMG_0759.jpg
    IMG_0770.jpg

So they are more like running a 285/80R17. But that’s actually why i bought them. They roll much easier and the truck picked up some spunk switching from the 315 KO2’s.

Overall I like the tires. They are pretty quiet and handle well. My only complain is they fling stones a lot.

I just checked the OP’s link above, and they’re now $201.92. So they’ve already gone up in price, but still comparatively cheap.

Interesting. I’m not as much a fan of the wider 315s, so the measurements you listed intrigue me. I also noticed that tiresize.com has their weight at a svelte 52 lbs and discountiredirect lists them at 55 lbs. By comparison, my BFG ATs are listed at around 64 lbs or so. That’s a huge weight difference. Hopefully the price savings will still be there when it’s time to replace my current set!

I just got my spare mounted and I would have to agree that it looks narrower than my KO2’s, but also is a bit taller than the KO2. I forgot to weigh it before I got it installed but I’ll weigh it with the wheel because I’m curious how light it actually is

Good to know your observation appears similar to mass-hole’s. Another size I considered is 255/85/17 and 35x11.5/17, but both of those sizes offer much more expensive tires.

I ordered some through discount tire and had them price match onlinetires.com at 177.29, so actually even cheaper. I weighed them on my refrigerant scale and they are 54lbs 8oz. Here they are next to my 305/70r17 Toyo AT3 which are mounted, but I lifted the weight of the truck off the tire with a Jack for size comparison. They are definitely small for a 315/70 but I like that as I am trying to avoid the BMC. They’re maybe a tad taller and a tad skinnier than my 305/70 Toyos. Thanks to @Tan-dra for the original post.

That's an awesome price and I've been tire shopping lately. A load range of 113 and a MAX pressure rating of 35PSI surprises me a bit. I don't need an E rated tire for my purposes but 35PSI max has me scratching my head. Sounds like this particular model might be better on a lighter vehicle like a jeep?

They state on the sidewall that they can be inflated 10psi over the 35psi > 45psi. They were made for the bronco Sasquatch package which is probably why the 35psi is stamped on there. If my wheels are rated for 2650, the tires are rated for 2550ish I don’t really need E loads. Either way, the rear axle is not rated for 5,000+ lbs so this load range will suffice for a half ton.

This. My Bronco takeoffs say this as well. Max load occurs at 35 psi, but they can be inflated to 45.

So I just weighed one of my wheel/tires and its lighter than I thought, even with some mud caked on it. This is mounted and balanced and ready to roll on a VenomRex VR602 17x9" wheel.

    IMG_3572.jpg
    IMG_3574.jpg

Went inside and put 75 lbs of dumbells on the scale just to make sure it wasnt whack and it showed 77 lbs.

Like I said, I really like these tires overall. I have not offroaded with them much other than some mild dirt trails in southern UT. The previous KO2's I took to Moab and a bunch of other more difficult stuff, but just havent had the opportunity with these.

Efficiency/power was the big driver pushing me to these. My 315/70 KO2's on the same wheels weighed in around 93 lbs. I expected these to be about 83 lbs. Then the width helps too. The truck was noticeably spunkier with these vs the KO2's.

The short time I had them on my F150 I figured I was getting fairly close to the same MPG's that I got with the stock 275/55R20's on the stock wheels. It was probably slightly worse just because the tread pattern, but width and weight were damn close to the stock setup.

I just traded the F150 for an Lexus LX570, and I am thinking I may have these pulled off the wheels and reuse them on the lexus.

I agree on the 35x11.5. The tires are a lot more, almost double. They are also somewhat heavy, in the 61-70 lb range it seems like even for a load range C.

Still waiting to get mine mounted, hoping they don’t rub too bad with my 0 offset wheels. I’ll give pictures and impressions once they’re on!

I think I am going to order a set of these from Discount, my K02's are bad and I don't want to mess around with them anymore. I think the small size will be ok, I actually would prefer a 285/75R17 (stock TRD suspension for the moment) so these may be about right. I am only worried about how they will do in the winter since they are not snow rated like almost every all terrain out there these days.

Discount Tire hooked it up and price matched the above mentioned onlinetires.com price of $177.29, there was a $20 coupon as well they honored. I will be having them installed Saturday morning and will post up results.

I asked and they wouldn’t honor that $20 one for me! Quite the smoking deal for this size name brand tire. My mechanic buddy mounting mine for me sent a photo of one of them mounted up so far. They’re a good looking tire.

Got them installed today. Only have a couple miles on them, way taller than the 285/70R17 K02's, width around the same, maybe even a little narrower across the tread (measures around 9.25"). I would classify these as tall skinny's, would be great on an FJ80. They are much nosier than the K02, we will see how they perform. I have some decent rubbing on the mud flaps and the front bumper plastic. Removing the flaps now, need to make a plan for the front bumper.

Stock TRD suspension, ICON 17x8.5 +25 wheels. Rubbing on mud flaps and front bumper. Pulled the mud flaps, need to do something with the front bumper. 64871C00-3D92-42CF-8FB1-57412C09A2B6.jpg 09F3E5D9-6982-4CCE-9AB4-CD564A3AB032.jpg 00B94876-8604-4FE8-8CC0-58CA76FFBDCB.jpg 55169D7A-49BA-4DE2-BE25-0DAC3370DE4C.jpg

Nice! I’m surprised you have them stuffed in there at stock height. I’m hoping to install mine on the truck later today if possible. They’re taller, but skinnier than my current setup on the same spec wheels so I’m interested to see if I get rubbing anywhere I didn’t have it before. They look sharp on yours though!

All mounted up! I’d say they’re 1/2” taller and 1/2” skinnier at the tread than my 305/70 Toyo AT3s. No driving impressions to offer yet. I may have the slightest trimming to do of the fender liners in one spot. I like the look, can’t say much else yet other than they’re exactly 10 lbs lighter per wheel/tire each than my AT3s mounted on RRWs.

Just got back from a quick road trip to the country store. Really smooth on the highway and not that much louder than the K02, I hope they stay this way. You can certainly feel the extra sidewall but the ride is great compared to the K02. The one dirt road I went confirmed these are rock chuckers. I adjusted the front fender liners, but still am rubbing in reverse, I think I am going to have to space the bumper out. So far I am a happy camper.

I just took a little ride in the rain. Wet traction is good just like my Toyos. These are a little louder than the Toyos but not bad at all and I’ve had far worse. One clear takeaway which matches up with your thoughts is the ride is incredibly smooth over bumps compared to my E load Toyos. It feels like different suspension. They ride fantastic, so I’m very happy in that regard. All the credit for that goes to the load C and extra sidewall no doubt.

They hum in a different pitch than the KO2's but I did not find them to be louder than either my 315/70's I swapped for these or 285/70's I had on my GX460. Its just a deeper hum.

Removing the mud flaps took care of the rub in the rear. For the front I redrilled the liners to a further forward position, but ended up having to space the bumper out a little with some washers. Ordered a 5th tire yesterday as well.

I'm probably going 37s after these so them being super cheap was a main reason they're so appealing. Plus they're super light and not a true 315 wide which I like
