Were helmets optional back then? Or do you think that was just for the movie, so we can see their faces better?

Haha. Helmets were always optional up until sometime in the 80s or 90s IIRC. Part of the reason hockey players have missing front teeth (I don’t think they wore mouthguards either). .

I’m owner #3 at just shy of 77k. 2nd owner dropped the truck pretty quickly. 218k isn’t bad at all for that number of owners.

Have we ever had a member who bought another member’s truck without knowing it?

2nd owner, a little over 186k. Think I bought it with under 120k...for $8900! Ah, those were the days.

Those covers can be pried on and off multiple times over...at least on both my 2000 and 2004 AC trucks. I was doing the whole lock tumbler swapperos on both side doors, passenger side airbag key, tailgate key, and ignition key! The locksmith wanted $75 per lock. I passed on his offer. Instead i did it myself. I used a small Wera flat blade screw driver to pry the stainless steel lock cylinder covers off the cylinder itself.

My cousin & grandpa are into it. Well, they've enjoyed the 15 minutes of gameplay, and are confused by the 2.5 hours of ads.

No sludge but a hefty amount of varnish all over the heads and crust cooked into the valve covers.

Everything I did today. Went to do the front brakes, none of my caliper tool work on the tundras front calipers. Ordered a cornwell ratchet piston pusher.

Spent a 3 hours scrubbing the captians chair arm rests. Pass side went from blue brown to just blue. Driver side went from black caked on stuff and human skin cells to just blue again. Its amazing what you can clean with Dawn, water, some brushed, 99% isopropyl alcohol and a shop vac.

Carpets went from mudded blue brown to blue, aside from the driver side, its gonna need chemical guys cleaner. But it looks, smells and feels clean.

Then on my way to Orielys to get 3m double sided weather strip tape my dome light blew out, replaced it with a Sylvania 6000k led. Im not a fan of the color, too blue. I need/ want a more a white temperature color.

    Replaced my axle pressure vent.

Pulled my third brake/ cargo light and removed the dog shit weather strip that came from chy-nna and applied the before mention 3M weather tape.

Got some chineese on the way home, tightened the side mirror housings as they were loose..? somehow.

Ate a gummy, now on the couch fir the rest of the night. I did all of that after cutting my lawn, doing the trim, welding and failing to build a fire pit out of tree rings surrounds. Not all metal will or wants weld up nicely. So I just cut a 55 gal drum in half, and I'll go get pavers to make a new fire pit.

I've always just used a c-clamp or two and old brake pads to push in the pistons.

This is all I’ve ever done with new pads, my entire life. No specialty tools. Use the old pad if multi-piston, c-clamp directly if single piston.

Don't have a full set of steelies but the original starfish don't get as dirty and clean up with just a smidge of elbow grease and mag polish.

I bet we can find some at the AutoZone or O'Reilly that are both about 100 feet from my house. Or the Napa about three blocks away. Or the Advance about a mile away.
I'm supposed to do a four hour training on the computer at my new job tomorrow. They still haven't told me what time to come in. I'll call em while taking my morning walk. But we could maybe do some science shit. I got a angle grinder and sawzall and a band saw. Or if it's a workout you want, I got hand saws.
