Wanted to upgrade the tundras radio system, something with a decent screen, carplay so I can put GPS or movie up on the screen, utilizing oem back up camera. Any recommendations?
Also looking for a nice set of stainless running boards.
Was there ever a factory inverter?
Any recommendations for a truck bed camper?
I also tried switching over to LED lights, I got the fast blinking turn signal with lights on but not with the lights off.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm a new guy.
Thanks in advance for all your knowledge

    I have 2012 crew cab 6-ft bed 5.7 l eng.

Welcome! I’m a new member as well.
I replaced the stk head unit last year with a Kenwood DMX7709S because the screen had gone black. I bought the harnesses for the stk rear camera hookup, steering wheel controls, and stk JBL amp. Not sure what happened when I did the install, but never got the steering wheel controls to work. Got everything from Crutchfield Canada because they have great tech support. It provides great sound, and has many customizable features for sound, however it doesn’t have a volume knob which makes it a bit of a pain to use since it is a little far to reach since the steering wheel volume control doesn’t work. It also doesn’t have wireless Apple CarPlay like a lot of units in its price range. Also, the screen is small by today’s standards, and I’ve seen folks with larger off-shore units, but for me, I wanted a mid-range known brand unit. I installed a Kenwood unit in my 97LX450, in 2016, and have never had any issues.

There are the usual Kenwood, Alpine units, and many Android head units. I am a big Android operating system fan so I went with a Joying Android unit (JY-TZ167N4). Some of the Android units are very cheap and you get what you pay for (poor screen, laggy, poor customer support).

I don't think so in the 2nd Gen. I added an inverter behind the seat of my double cab and mounted an AC receptacle in my bed liner to make it similar to trucks that come with them. You need some beefy wire between your battery and inverter to handle the 12V current to your inverter.

I went with the pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX which is a 10” display with wireless android auto/apple CarPlay. I would recommend getting a maestro kit with it so you can have OBD2 data and steering wheel controls.

Fast blink issue is common for LED light upgrade. You will need to add a resistor to the wire to prevent fast blink. Headlight Revolution has a good video to how to install the resistor.

I did the resistor upgrade, and now the blinkers work without the headlights on just fine but when you turn the running lights or the headlights on you get the fast blink issue again

I have an electrical outlet in the rear of the center console in my 2008 Limited, from factory. I haven't used it for more than an electric cooler, so don't know how much you can run off of it.
