Are you trying to connect thru the trucks paid wifi service, or the Bluetooth?

I would delete the connection on both vehicle and device, redo the connections and test. If still a problem connect something else to the truck, tablet etc and rule out the phone.

also does it only happen when you are at home before departing? I have a Bluetooth device attached to my tv I connect headphones too. It messes with those headphones if left on ( headphone connected to phone and walk too close to the other device and it just hacks it off the connection to my phone and connects itself to my headphones )

If my eyes serve me right it looks like android auto in the background on your screen. I too have some issues every once and awhile that I can only narrow down to android auto software updates or lack there of actually.

I've had my 22 since 22 and each time my phone updates it's software (which I'm guessing includes Bluetooth updates) I will begin to see issues with Android auto which usually goes away when they release an update. Last update for AA was over a month ago.

My 2022 Platinum did this regularly (despite multiple reinstalls) My 2024 1794 also does it. Have not had it happen when hooked directly to USB port on dash

Mine use to time out maybe once on a long trip but has not done it in a while. Sometimes I think it is maybe CarPlay or Android Auto. But, don't know.

Android or IOS? Starting to wonder if it’s the platform of device we use? Mine has never done it on my, or 3 family members in my 1794. We all run IOS

Get a buddy with and iPhone, connect his drive an hour somewhere and have a beer. Drive back with yours connected and then compare

Android 14 and the Pixel 8 have a Bluetooth connection problem. After 3 months of trying to fix it, I finally gave up and got a Samsung S24. I have not had one Connection Timeout problem, since I switched.

I feel ya. Solving problems on the fly is my entire job, I basically troubleshoot for a living. I also swear a lot too, maybe it's related. LOL.

I'm on an 8 Pro and it comes up on occasion, but by the time I acknowledge the notice on the display it has reconnected itself. Odd behavior for sure, but hasn't been too huge of an inconvenience. It's one of those things that will probably be fixed in a future update, only to then break again on a subsequent upate.

Thank you for all the information. I just switched my phone from a Galaxy S22 to an S24. I will report back if the new phone has the same issue or not.

DimaA...do you notice if the dropouts/connection timeouts happen in the same location when driving to/from work? I have two spots on my route to work where I get a dropout or interference with my Android Auto wireless connection. I've had it happen with all my vehicles in the same two spots (TSX/RX350/Tundra). Interference from wireless cameras or security systems would be my guess.

Just this past weekend I found a location where I get connection timeout. Not sure what is in that area causing it but is repeatable.

It would be interesting to know if you could avoid the timeout in that location by using the wired connection. Not advocating that as a solution but might help narrow down what causes it. I've had the timeout a few times but nothing I can repeat.

I have failures to connect almost daily and random disconnects. All the problems are resolved by rebooting the display sometimes more than once. I can’t say if it’s Apples version of Bluetooth or the display. I have had problems with IOS in the past randomly switching Bluetooth devices in a call.

Several days have passed since I acquired a new phone, and I am pleased to report that I have not encountered any timeout connection issues thus far. In contrast, my previous phone would frequently disconnect multiple times during a one-hour drive.

Yes! This happens to me all the time! I have a property 4 hours away from my home in the Chicago area, and I drive there frequently. There are 2 spots along my route, each with a very tall radio tower, where my Android Auto disconnects and reconnects. I've troubleshot this several times but haven't been able to resolve. I've mentioned it to the dealer and they've never heard of it. I even emailed Toyota about it and heard crickets. It's clearly some sort of radio interference with the infotainment system, specifically Android Auto and external RF.

I use Android Auto in other vehicles I own and do not encounter these types of interference issues.
